Ceylon Coconut Company's coconut oil is single origin, sourced from the Sri Lanka, which has the ideal conditions for coconuts to flourish, in tropical, coastal areas with high temperatures and humidity levels. CCC coconut oil is cold-pressed using fresh coconuts sourced by local farmers. As the product remains raw during production, nutrients are retained as much as possible. CCC coconut oil solidifies at room temperature, but with the addition of heat can become liquid. Coconut oil is believed to increase energy expenditure when compared to other, longer-chain fats. Added to this, the fatty acids in coconut oil have been known to reduce appetite, which potentially could lead to weight-loss in the long-term. Very coconutty! Moisturises well and works well with other uses too.
Lovely texture and subtle flavour. I use coconut oil in my hair and it made it shine with no bits (like some others I've used). I also use it as part of my moisturising base which has worked really well, as well as cooking with it. And I'm still only halfway through the tub... so it spreads very well. However, I'm not a fan of the coconut scent (if you do, you'll love it!) Regardless, a high quality product.
