One Sweet Ding-A-Ling,.... HIGH QUALITY...GREAT SOUND
I researched until I was purple in the face. This bell is first class. Fit and finish smooth, shiny and ready for action. The large BRASS dome puts out a clear consistent ring ring. The metal strap connector conveniently handles any size of handlebar. No special measuring necessary.Dome easily unscrews so I can get to the internal mechanism. There is no oil on the moving parts, gears and spinning shafts so I sprayed silicon into the mechanism. That does make it smoother & extends life. Definitely recommend this easy maintenance if you want bell to perform at its peak & last for years.I mounted my bell on my right handlebar and use my thumb to activate. All the dimensions make it very easy /convenient to mount and ring safety. Delivers top performance with loud ring (not an annoying sound but a definite heads up) & is well worth the extra buck$.Ships via US mail bubble pack & arrives in about a week or so. Prime not avail on this item when I ordered. Not particularly cheap but you do get what you pay for on this 60mm bell.BOTTOM LINE: Loud, clear ding dong sound. Engineered for Long Life. EASILY EARN 5-STARS.

Classic Loud "Brrriiiinnnng" Ring!
Amazon Prime had it for same-day delivery! Received just in time for my bike-picnic ride with friends tomorrow! So excited. The bell is a classic shape, all metal parts and beautiful shiny brass, can be placed on either left or right handle bar, and very loud! Actually surprised by how loud it was... startled me for a second! LOL! Has a great weight to and feels like a quality product. I definitely recommend this bell for bike riders looking for a classic/vintage-like bell for their sweet ride. I outfitted my bike, a Ladies Windsor Kensington 8 bicycle, which is a classic/vintage style ride, hunter green with chrome finish. I was thinking of a chome Bell but decided, naaaah! This bell has a beautiful classic look in brss and I must say, it looks really good on my bike. To each their own, but, I am in love how it stands out. Plus, the chrome detail in the center accents the bell and ties it all together. So in my opinion, it just may look great with any color cycle you have... or almost any color. Can't wait to make some noise! I believe this bell will alert the most oblivious pedestrian with headphones on that may be walking in the bike path... BRRRRRRRIIIING BRRRRRRRIIIING! Onward!

Love the bell
I never used to have a bell on my bike until I road over the Brooklyn Bridge on a Saturday afternoon. That convinced me of the need of having one. First I tried a Crane Suzu bell it was loud but it was very sensitive to how tight I clamped it down on the handle bar and also how tight the nut that holds the top dome on to the bottom. If either the clamp or the nut were to tight the bell would not ring well. I had this on my 2003 TREK 1000 and while riding over roads that had been graded for repaving it shook apart. I put it back together but it never rang right after that. On my 1975 Royce Union SS I tried the Crane Karen bell mounted vertically on the frame near the stem. Again if I tightened the clamp to much it sounded dead and nobody seemed to hear it. So I went to my local bike shop to try something else. They had only two brass rotary bells and I bought both of them. I installed them on both bikes and used a dab of blue threadloc on the clamp screw and the stud that the top dome screws on to. I wanted to get the same bell for my Motobecane road bike and since my bike shop was out of them I searched it on the internet and found that Amazon had the best price on it and free shipping and it arrived in a very reasonable amount of time. So far I've had no trouble with them. I can clamp them down nice and tight and it doesn't effect the sound. The Riten bell makes a loud but pleasant sound and the sustain is impressive . It even makes some people smile when they hear it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a bell on there bike.

Awesome ! Glorious !
I have Mirrcycle Incredibell Brass Duet on another bike and it does not compare to this Crane Riten. the Incredibell does the job and is a very good bell for what it is - a compact, affordable bell. But the Riten is on another level. Its sound is at the same time louder, more beautiful and more recognizable as a bike bell, which is important for safety. The Incredibell is, as i said, a pretty good bell too - people hear it and recognize it as a bike bell but the Riten is just ... better. Now i won't give it 5 stars for a few reasons:1 - size. it is big and heavy. almost twice the size and probably 3 to 4 times the weight of something like Incredibell. there is no way to produce sound this glorious from a tiny, thin bell - the only way to do it is with big, thick, heavy brass. this bell is not just big, the brass has a considerable thickness to it, as a good bell should.2 - style. the style is undeniably retro. this bell would look gorgeous on one of those curvy bikes for women that have natural leather handlebars and so on - it would definitely compliment the style of those bikes. but the bike i have it on has modern style and this bell doesn't match it.3 - the all-metal construction of this bell ( and i mean ALL metal, not a single part in this bell is made out of anything other than metal ) is good for durability ( and sound ) but there is some potential for scratching your handlebar with the metal mount. you may want to put some kind of tape on the handlebar to prevent it from getting scratched.all in all though this is a very high quality bell and the sound is phenomenal. i am an audiophile and take sound quality very seriously and this bell exceeded all my expectations. even with the size and weight and the retro styling and the potentially scratchy mount i would still buy it again.both this Riten and the Incredibell appear to be made in Japan. the Incredibell says "Japan" in tiny letters on the plastic of the bell and the Riten says "Osaka Japan" in rather big letters right on the top center of the bell. i recommend the Incredibell as well - the Incredibell handily beats the bell that came with my bike from the factory while matching the stock bell in size and style.

Wonderful Bicycle Bell - Old Fashion Movement - Terrific Sound
Friday, September 02, 2022, 4:11 p.m. - I have been using this Crane Riten Brass Bell on my bicycle for several weeks now and one of the first things I noticed is that people walking the trail in front of me really appreciate the nice tone of the bell that has a lingering ring. My previous bell was a cheapee, simple, "ding" bell that I sometimes had to ring several times for people in front of me to hear; some senior folks have a problem hearing high tones like this "ding" bell so they do not hear it. The Crane Riten Brass Bell is worth the money; I actually enjoy the sound and look forward to ringing it as frequently as possible. Buy it if you need a new bell or want to replace your current bell.

Immediate replacement of the very costly bell!
It worked only for three months. Want to replace by new one since the spring of the bell got damaged. Not satisfied at all as the high price is concerned if not possible may kindly be replaced by new one or the amount may be refunded.

Best in class.
No nonsense solid brass old school loud bell that will last a lifetime with its all-metal construction. What makes this awesome product go the extra mile is its capability to do short dings or long Crrrrrrings depending on the need. Definitely a lifesaver.
