Peep Inside the Zoo Board book – 1 January 2013

Small sized books, but very beautifully illustrated by Simona Dimitri and published by Usborne Publishing and marketed by Harper Collins. The price tag at the back cover says Rs 499, but I got it at a discounted price of Rs 359 plus Rs 40 shipping. Its a sturdy board book, for a 2-6 year old kid, so will last long. Its an original print that I received, no copy. Has a lot of flaps revealing animal pictures (who are found in a zoo and their behaviour). An older kid will understand the content better, though younger kids will be delighted with the riot of colours and discovering things hidden by flaps. Overall 14 page sides in thickness and content. Enough to keep a kid entertained for 20 minutes to an hour if they are sitting with an attentive adult. It is sure to be used over and over again. A bit higher in price, but worth having as a collection for your kid.

My 4 years old son has fallen in love with this "Peep Inside" series. He tries to read and spends time going through the paper board silk finish pages. This book is interestingly designed in a large font pop up format. Carefully made to withstand handling of those little hands. Very colour full and cute animal world at a zoo, with little bit of facts about them. At a little pricier side if looked from the utility point of view, but a really great choice to attract kids and make them sit with a harmless book in this poisonous world of mobile and gaming.

It was such fun reading out this book to my girl..she really loved it. Loved the colourful illustrations and detailing of characters hidden on each page. It beautifully describes the life at Zoo showing how the animals, birds, creatures live in nature..its thought provoking and is creative.

This peep inside book is very colourful and engaging. It has flaps to open which excites the kid. Also various animals are covered in it. My son who is 3.5 likes it. I am happy with the book.

Lovely book. Excellebnt illustrations and very engaging. Usborne books are must buys.
