My husband was tired of using sticks to move wood in the fire. He takes this on all of our camping trips!

The poker arrived quickly and we took it with us on a recent 4-day camping trip. I like that it separates into 2 pieces because it's so much easier to pack in the same box with our other campfire necessities (although I did wrap the poker end in a scrap of cardboard to prevent any damage to other items during transit), and we assembled it at the campsite with a swiss army knife (all you need is a small screwdriver).We used this to stoke our campfire late into the evenings, and to lift the lid on our dutch oven whenever we were cooking over the fire. It worked very well for both purposes! I love that I didn't need separate tools for stoking and lid-lifting, and the fact that this item is so compact. We also disassembled the poker when we were packing to leave camp and stored everything back in the campfire box.

Exactly what I was looking for and worked great at the campfire in the great outdoors!The handle screws on but does not stay tight. Nothing a little thread lock tape or glue can’t fix though

Could have come with lock washers or plastic thread inserts to keep the 2 pieces from loosening. The handle will loosen also without a way to secure it (maybe loctite). It's long enough and heavy duty, but I would prefer a one piece (my fault). It will be fine for my outdoor fire pit. I don't have a fireplace, but if you do, I would consider a poker with with better aesthetics when on display with other fireplace tools in your den or living room, if you're concerned about that sort of thing. It's kind of an ugly duckling.

I bought this as a gift for my dad after he built his fire pit. He loves it and I love that he quit sticking his hands and feet in the fire pit to move the wood around. It was easy to assemble and it’s heavy and sturdy. My only complaint would be that it’s a little loose and rattles a bit where the two pieces screw together. It’s definitely a quality poker and I would buy it again but I do worry that will be a problem at some point.

holes don't line up, can only use one screw instead of the two. ended up tack welding mine. and was also rusty where the end was welded on

It seems like a nice heavy duty poker as we have just put it together and using it now but not sure how long the middle portion would hold together with 2 small screws keeping it together.

Came in two parts. Didn’t screw together well. Had a friend weld it together. Now it’s great.

Great value for the money. Will be using it at the lake for our firepit.

Purchased for my dad, assembly was very easy (arrived in 3 parts). Lightweight but seems to be pretty durable for the price.
