Technically not a CAT6, although performance wise it is difficult to check.
In the pictures, the cable being reviewed is on the left.So first thing's first, credit where it's due. This is a fully copper cable, which is significantly better than copper clad aluminium (CCA) cabling that is rampart. In the first picture, you can see that the conductors in the reference cable on the right have a silver shine to them, denoting the presence of aluminium, while this cable (on the left) does not. However, we can also notice that the diameter of the wires and the insulation for them in this cable is absolutely tiny. In the second picture, I have a (fully copper) CAT5e cable whose wires are "normal" diameter for long cables of 24 AWG (american wire gauge, lower means larger diameter, excluding any insulation). In the first picture, the cable on the right is 27 AWG "CAT6" cable (since it's CCA it doesn't quite make the standard) but basically performed to spec when I managed to test it a while ago, as it is only 10m long. We can also see for the right cable that the insulation is thick and uses the correct CAT6 RJ45 connector, where the wires are staggered. The reviewed wire uses a straight connector, which is not rated for CAT6, meaning the whole cable cannot be considered CAT6. It also has barely any insulation, so there may be issues with interference. This has probably been done to get the profile of the cable to be small, and for good reason. I am buying this cable for its thinness, after all. But, does it perform to a CAT6 spec even though technically it isn't a CAT6? I can't be sure, but I am hesitant to say so. I only have access to testing to a CAT5e standard at the moment, and it does perform well up to 1Gbps/1000BASE-T. Since a fully to spec CAT6 24 AWG cable with the right connectors can carry 10Gbps/10GBASE-T for only 55 meters, I am somewhat doubtful that this cable can for 20. If it was 5 meters, probably yes. Does that actually matter? Most likely not for anyone buying this. It certainly doesn't to me at the moment. The vast, vast majority of home router and PC Ethernet adapters have a maximum speed of 1Gbps anyway. Will this matter in 10 years if you're installing the cable underneath thresholds and floorboards? Perhaps.

Must be supplied on a drum
I’ve just finished installing a 50m cable, not my first. I’ve spent years doing it so when this cable arrived I immediately noticed a problem which could easily have been resolved at almost no expense. Firstly the cable is excellent quality for domestic purposes so long as you take great care with installation. It’s very tolerant with pulling and twisting and being so thin and narrow it’s easy to tuck under the edges of carpet or round door frames. The supplied cable grips are somewhat oversized but I mostly used self adhesive cable clips. So having over estimated the required length by around 20m (better too long than too short) I was extremely pleased that I bought this cable and it passed all the test after installation.I still have this one and only complaint which I hope the manufacturers will take on board. The cable is wound in a particular way to help, no doubt, with packing. It’s folded in the centre then wound so both terminal ends are together. However, attempting to unwind this length of fine cable ends up in a total tangle. As soon as you release the four wires holding it together the coil collapses which means you cannot unwind it flat. Pulling it apart causes masses of twist. The simplest solution is to fit the cable on a drum/spool so it can be wound out ensuring the cable remains flat. This is standard practice especially when using flat cables.Otherwise a very, very good product.

Do not buy if you intend to cut your own patch cables
This cable is clearly not designed for creating your own patch cables. The interior wires are completely out of order. It's supposed to be o/O/g/B/b/G/br/BR but depending where you cut it, the wiring is completely random. Not that this matters - the wires are too thin to crimp into place anyway. I've tried several times to crimp an RJ45 plug onto the end but due to the extreme flimsiness of the interior wires, they do not sit in the correct channel.Avoid avoid avoid if you're planning on cutting and creating your own.

It's good but end clip isnt strong
Bought this back in November to plug into my bouncer for better internet. I have Virgin 350mbps internet and when I plugged it into my ps4 had speeds over 100mbps. The bouncer it was plugged into would pump out to 2 p4s, a roku, and between 4 & 6 phones with no issue at all so does what it says and is good at that end. BUT. The cap at the end that plugs into the booster or ps4 is awful. With in weeks it started to show wear & tear so we stopped unplugging it. And today it has snapped off leaving the end inside the booster. I have managed to get it out, but if it was for something else (laptop, ps4 etc) I highly doubt it.So good wire just the end clips break so easily.

Very good and fast wire, must get if upgrading from cat5
Very flat wire fits under my carpet with ease and once its on skirting board you wouldnt really see it.I have 350mb virgin broadband and the speeds with this wire im getting around 380mb/s its like the router was next to my PC.Easily get 5 years more from the speed rating from this cable as its capable of 1gb/s so very fast indeed.Oh and this is the 50meter version

Good cable that gets the job done.
This Ethernet cable is really good. The width of the wire is around 0.5 cm so it was really easy to mount it along walls and above door frames. The company even provides lots of cable holders that you can hammer to a wall, however I just used double sided tape and it did the job. Be CAREFUL when opening the cable because I carelessly cut of the packaging only for the entire cable to flop onto the ground and get tangled. It’s advertised as tangle free but really, it’s not so be careful. Also mine had a tiny defect on the plastic insulation where one tiny internal wire stuck out. I just wrapped it in electrical tape to make sure no potential damage could be caused. The cable does maintain your original speed from the router which is really good. I use it for gaming and I’ve not experienced any lag at all. It’s a really great product, just setting it up may be a bit time consuming.
