It works. Simply!
This thing works and it works well. It's straightforward and simple -- when my phone enters the vehicle, it automatically connects with a *not annoying* beep and makes no other sounds once connected. The USB receiver end is in an enclosed center console and it doesn't affect the sound quality or connection ability at all. Based on other reviews, I purchased an inline thingy at the same time to reduce humming but it is not needed in my case -- It actually drastically reduced the sound quality so I won't be using it. I don't notice any background humming anyway.I can't comment on the microphone/phone quality because I don't need or use it for that.I like this set up better than when I had an integrated bt stereo in a previous car -- constantly fiddling with the phone to get it to connect. My "downgrade" in vehicle is actually a huge step up in this regard.

Best option for those with AUX.
I decided to purchase this over one of those Bluetooth FM Transmitters, because if I have the aux port I might as well use it. This works great, it works instantly after it being set up, the wire is out of the way (at least in my 2012 civic), it connects instantly, and sounds good. There is a very very slight buzzing / humming, but you can only hear it when there is no music playing and you aren't driving, so it doesn't impact my review at all. Typical cable interference. If you need BT and have an auxilary port available, this 100% seems to be the best choice.

Works as advertised; extension cable good idea!
Beautiful! Plugged it in, punched in code, and it works! Two reasons for 4 stars:One, the way the car is laid out (‘09 Scion xB), the power socket is under a chunk of dashboard for the shifter, which kills the ability to use the product for a microphone, andTwo, whenever I choose a song to play (iPhone SE), there’s a “click” that cuts off just that much of the beginning of the song.Other than these issues, it works as advertised. Sound quality is unaffected (though I wish these things had a signal booster, but that of course would mean more money. As it is, it is small and super slim; I use it with a power plug that has two USB slots and the other one powers/charges the phone.A good idea they included, the sound cable is short (would have been enough for my last car), but they include an extension as well, which is perfect for my car, being the AUX port is in between the seats (I also use a noise filter, and am able to bury the whole thing right up to the AUX input).I didn’t want to spend gobs of money as it’s a stock radio/CD/AUX. this is a “good” product for the money, and works as advertised.

The ULTIMATE Review (Late 2019)
So far, so good. I received this yesterday and it has been good so far, and definitely the best option for me.*fyi, not sure if it matters, but I have a 2012 Honda Accord that I use this in, which is what I'm basing the review off of.Pros:- Probably the best sound quality I've seen, maybe since it uses your cars Aux port and USB port.- Easy to setup- Auto- Reconnects when you get back in car- Small and compact designCons:- No Microphone for calling, that I know of. When I receive calls while connected to this it redirects the audio to my phone's speakers instead of my car's.- Slight ** Very slight ** Static in background in the higher volume levels. BUT, it's such good quality sound you don't need to get into the higher volume levels unless you're really BUMPING. and it's barely noticeable, I'm just super picky.Overall, GET IT if you have an aux port and a USB port and you just want the comfort of bluetooth in your car.

It works. Perfectly.
I recently changed my car to a Mini Cooper S R56.Unlike my last car, this didn't have Bluetooth available nor a USB port for a thumb drive for music. It has a 3.5mm Aux jack.Enter this little device! If you have ever in your life paired 2 devices together via Bluetooth, this works exactly the same.I first paired it to my phone, took all of about two minutes (and that's exaggerating) then I plugged it in to the aux input, and the other end into a USB charger in my car. That's it. Period.Once paired, it will auto reconnect whenever you turn your car on.I haven't heard any buzzing, static or other weird noises. And let me tell you, it's fantastic having my entire music collection in my car. What I use:This device and a Pixel Xl - Google play music as the source. It should hold up well, as now it is in my car, it'll stay there permanently.Overall, an absolute bargain I nearly paid A LOT more for something that would do exactly the same job. Super happy!

Very poor performance. Wasted my money.
This works good, WHEN IT WORKS. I purchased two of these. One for my car and one for my motorcycle. I hooked up the one in my car.To get it to connect EACH TIME, I have to plug it in, then unplug it, then plug in again. Then it will connect. However, while I’m listening, it disconnects randomly and makes two beeping noises (same tones it makes when it originally connects). It does this CONSTANTLY in a drive. To get it connected so you can listen to music again, you have to unplug it and plug it back in again, then go into settings and reconnect to the device on Bluetooth. Before you even start thinking it’s my phone, it’s not. My phone works just fine with other Bluetooth devices. I’m running an iPhone 8. This is the only Bluetooth device I have these issues with. It also has the same issues with another persons android phone that we tried.I would NOT recommend this product. I’m stuck with two of them.
