The Grace Company Q-Zone Hoop-Frame - Rectangular Steel Quilting Frame

We have not had a chance to use the frame. This review will be first impressions of order of the frame and assembly. Ordering the frame was not straight forward. We didn’t know if frame came with the upper carriage and handles. It didn’t but that was not explained well in the description on Amazon. The questions and answers were not clear: there was a yes and no for the answer to the question. We found out the carriage was not included when we were assembling the frame. The carriage is not available onAmazon, so we ordered one from the dealer that actually sold the frame. The carriage is an additional $200.00. Also a speed controller was needed for our machine (Brother 1500), another $70.00. So now we are setting at nearly $1300.The frame went together fairly easy. The instructions and the video were not clear on installing the carriage lock, other than that the assembly was easy. The engineering and manufacturing are both excellent.Update on earlier answer: Yes the upper carriage and handles does come with the frame. They arrived three days later, they were shipped from the manufacturer.This review will be updated when we finally get to use it.

This frame goes together very well. Good quality materials. Very smooth to operate. Precision Sewing Machines was extremely good to work with. I only wish my home machine had a bigger throat.

Set up was easy, I had my son help me with it. I haven't been able to use it because I ordered a new sewing machine to use specifically with this product, however when I tried to use the new sewing machine, there are issues. I'm looking forward to being able to use it as soon as I get my sewing machine situation resolved.

When I finally received all the boxes it wasn't bad to put together. I was missing the bolts to hold the handles on the slide for the sewing machine. I received two of the four that were supposed to be there. I called again to let you know that the quick release nut was also not there. I was told you would ship it but I still have not received that part. We had to purchase a nut to hold the handles together so it will not be the quick release as it should be. I have not had a chance to use it yet but hope to real soon.

I was skeptical about how easy this frame would be to set up and use. From the time I ordered I had an excellent experience. The seller was awesome when I had a question. The frame itself was simple to put together. I had watched all the videos I could find and have found the frame is everything they say it is. Once you get used to the clamps it is super easy and fast to set up and move the quilt as needed.

This took a bit of assembly but I was easily able to do it myself. The carriage handles didn’t arrive with the other boxes but the seller quickly remedied that as soon as I contacted them. I haven’t tried using the frame yet with all the Christmas preparations but I’m looking forward to having hours of fun with it this winter! Directions appear to be very straightforward and there is an instructional video online to help. I’m very happy with my purchase!
