3M Electric Random Orbital Sander Kit 28522, Central Vacuum, 6 Inch, 3/16" Orbit

Very expensive sander that died after less than one month of use. I bought this for my company so it was getting pretty regular use, maybe 3-4 hours a day, and it stopped working after just a few weeks. The quality of the sanding is outstanding especially with the autonet "paper" it really works leaving no swirls or marks, however I wouldn't buy this because it broke so quickly. I bought a Mirka sander at the same time, which is very similar to the 3M, but it did not break. If you are in the market for a top quality electric sander buy a Mirka and forget about this 3m junk.

I've had this sander for a little over a year.I'm a professional cabinetmaker. This product is used in our shop to clean up wide-belt sanding scratches on cabinet doors as well as do a fair amount of solid surface work. The sander is probably running between 12-16 hours per week, every week.The real benefit of this sander is it's excellent balance, and the ability to take it to job sites as required. Being able to interchange pads with the pneumatic sander line is helpful, too.My shop also has a Mirka brand sander- no complaints with it, either. I do find that I have received better support from 3m's reps when I have questions about papers/ sanding sequences, so my next sander will also be a 3m model.
