These took about a month to arrive, the tracking was terrible so the constant checking and trying to locate this package during shipping was stressful, and all for what? For them to FINALLY arrive and be nothing more than dyed green jade 4mm beads. To be fair, they were about $1 cheaper than buying as many beads of dyed green jade 4mm stones... But BY THE WAY, THESE ARE NOT FACETED!!! Just your run of the mill 4mm sphere. Maybe these ARE real emeralds! And maybe Santa Clause really existe. In either case, they look EXACTLY THE SAME AS 4mm DYED GREEN JADE SPHERES. So, save yourself the stress and trouble, and find another source for emeralds, or instead just buy 4mm dyed green jade beads yourself, string them up on some 10-20lbs clear fishing line with a pretty gold or brass clasp of your choosing. Much better than dealing with this. On the other hand, I did find (low quality if looking for “gem quality” but quite beautiful as jewelry “seed beads”) ruby and sapphire “necklaces” similar to this one on amazon which seem to legitimately be rubies and sapphires; thought this might be my source for cheap emeralds, but alas, in this case, you get what you pay for, plus a whole bunch of headache.

The color of the emeralds is much better than expected.The clasp is a bit cheap looking but for the price perfectly acceptable. The one issue that I see, that is not reflected in the photograph, is the stringing. When you string beads it is important to leave a tiny bit of slack in the thread. If you tie it too tightly it causes stiffness in the strand which causes the stones/beads to bunch up and not to lie flat on the throat. This takes away from the elegant look of these emeralds.

I really like this necklace. I would have preferred to pay a little extra for a silver connector, I think it's tin, but it clips on very easy and the stones are very beautiful. I am astonished at how affordable these generous people have made it to buy Emeralds. I really hope they haven't cut the rainforest down for these stones. I hope they can live sustainably because they are very good quality stones and an amazing price. I would have been happy paying double.

These are very nice. The deep, intense color, however, makes me think these are dyed. Very unlikely you will find emeralds this color for so cheap.
