I purchased the Simplici charcoal soap after my regular brand became unavailable, and I am so happy to have found them.Pros:Skin friendly: If you have both sensitive and oily skin this soap is a pure god sent. You can finally cleans off excess oils without causing an outbreak and not be left with an oil slick on your skin. I have very sensitive skin and this is one of the very few soaps that leaves my skin thoroughly clean and doesn’t leave behind a sunburn like rash. I am able to use it twice a day on my face and have eliminated the regular acme I use to have.Odor control: Instead of covering up body odor with perfume charcoal soap actually eliminates it. It also eliminates the odor that sticks to body hair and in the follicles. I have found I am able to wear less deodorant and not smell as bad at the end of a sweaty day.Long lasting: For soap it is expensive but worth the investment. I store my bars out of the shower and on a wooden soap saver to let them dry out between showers and the bars last a long time that way. I have also saved money on acme and rash cream.Cons:Big bar: The Simplici bars are large with straight edges and a bit too big for me to wield once slippery. But I simply cut a bar in half and I’m good to go.Roommates: Roommates will discover your soap and totally bogart it. Hide your stash!Gray wash cloths: Your white wash cloths will look a little gray in the shower because of the charcoal, but come out nice an extra clean in the wash.All in all it is worth the investment and if you usually use fancy smelling body bars or skin bars I say give it a week to get use to the lack of fragrance and give your skin a chance to improve before you give up on it. I am betting you will become a fan of simple charcoal soap, and soon won’t go without out it like me.

I was... filthy. Not only externally, but I found my spirit soiled and fatigued by the rigors of daily life. Then I saw this soap for offer here on Amazon. I decided to try it. Upon receiving it I noted the rustic packaging and unrefined appearance, and found this boldly candid and refreshing- there are no pretexts, simply... black bars of soap. The not-so-sublte irony that I elected dark black soap was once again reinforced in me as I wearily made my way to the shower to try it.This is a man's soap, rough and gritty, unbridled with superfluous scents and other useless rigamarole. Immediately upon its employ I was inspired to amputate the unnecessary from my entire existence. In this, the soap provided courageous inspiration. I continued... Not only did this soap effectively revolve the normal low-level putridity of everyday perspiration and soil, it abraded away the ugly stench of sloth and inambition. As I scrubbed, my jadedness was stripped away to reveal a youthful inspiration. I scrubbed harder. My skin responded with a manly blush of ambition and courage lost to my 30's, now rediscovered in my 50's.I recalled, on an adventure to some Godforsaken place, that eating charcoal was a treatment for some type of poisoning, and this lesson of my more manly youth was not lost on the application of this soap. It was as though the poison of our collective malaise was abraded away by this soap.Like all good inspirations, it rinsed cleanly and easily without film. It left me enlivened and sparkling, inside and out. It is even an attractive style statement in my bathroom. When people see this dark black soap, they know immediately I am no longer a man to be trifled with. That I am a man washed clean, morally straight and enlivened with cleanliness and purity.If you aspire to a similar hygienic and spiritual experience, I wager this soap will please you, and I hope it does. I intend to exhaust my supply over time and revisit this item, as I now consider it both an essential and an inspiration.

These charcoal bars have cleared up my husband's sensitive skin. They have little smell, but do smell good and last about 2 weeks in a soap saver bag. My only complaint is that they leave dark remnants in our white tiled shower, making it look much dirtier quicker than usual. However, this is a problem for all charcoal soaps, not just this one.

It seems to be good for general dryness and being soft, it doesn’t clean too bad and the quality seems to be just good. My problem is that it leaves a lot of soap scum and leaves my bath looking not great after only a couple showers. I have eczema and it seems to be cleansing and nourishing of the rest of my face besides the eczema, it also gives additional acne to my face, shoulders and back.

I typically have sensitive skin so I am always hesitant when purchasing beauty products or similar things online, but I took a chance since I have never had issues with charcoal before and I am glad. I have been suffering with acne as of recent despite turning 24 recently and never having bad acne earlier in life. I have tried a variety of methods but charcoal seems to be one that really works for me. I got rid of my entire routine and now just wash my face and body with this soap and use coconut oil as a moisturizer. The people leaving negative reviews saying they do not feel "squeeky clean" like other soaps after using this soap seem to misunderstand that you do not want to feel like that after washing because you are using harsh chemicals to strip your skins natural protective oils, which this soap does not do. I feel perfectly clean, completely lacking in scent after using this soap and I love it. Will definitely be buying from this seller / more from this brand in the future.

Lovely! Really good size bars ! Appreciate the no fragrance as I am sensitive,helps a lot with oily skin without drying it out like some bar soaps. I recommend! Update: I’ve only used this soap for a couple days and I love it BY FARRRR THE BEST SOAP!! Never change or stop making these please GONNA tell all my family and friends about this company excited to try more from them!
