Speaking from the voice of experience, I can highly recommend this Shower Rod as the one to get if you want the job done right, simply and once and for all!In my humble opinion, from bitter experience, all those "simple" "tension-mount" shower rods now featured and sold all over town are the lazy man's/woman's joke! I was one of those people. Yes, in a few minutes time, you can hold each of those tension-mount shower rods over your head with both hands, and try to balance it level, align it perfectly with left and right walls, and simultaneously push your arms out in opposite directions against each wall! How simple! If that sounds difficult for something supposed to be "simple", don't worry because you are going to get lots of practice, putting it up over and over again, every time a feather drops or a bird outside sneezes, or you carelessly touch the shower curtain with your elbow while trying to enjoy a hot shower! Figure about 3X a week minimum!This  Zenith Decorative Screw Mount Shower Rod, Chrome, 72 Inches  on the other hand is a dream to put up, one hand at a time! It has an ingenious mounting system, consisting of two hidden circular nylon wall mounts, each of which attaches to the wall with two anchored screws, both of which are completely hidden by the attractive flush mount end piece which snaps onto and completely hides the wall mount. Using a yardstick, a spirit level, a pencil, a drill and a screw driver, it was simple to do a perfect job of mounting the wall mounts on opposite walls. Then came the neatest part - each nylon wall mount has two small "fingers" or pillars in its center, over which fit two holes pre-punched into each end of the rod. Therefore, no balancing act or juggling act is required - you just drop the rod onto the pillars, through the end holes, one at a time, slide the rod-mounted fancy circular covers over to the end, snap them in place concealing the mounts, the screws, the punched holes in the rod and the tiny pillars, and you're done! Never to have to pick up a wet shower curtain and rod and mount it again!This is a high-quality, well-designed and attractive system. I hope my favorable review does not drive the price up, because this is, in addition, a bargain when compared to the tension-mount rods!

Over priced for what it is, works just the same.

Really wanted this to work but it didn't. No fault of the product just the application.

If needed for a temporary place is not bad but it gets rusted fast and is not easy to install!

Cheap is the first thing that comes to mine when you open the box. It will do for now because I have guests coming this weekend. I will have to replace it soon after. This is one of those things that you should buy in person.

I normally do not provide as bad a review as I'm about to give this product. But...this is is the worse product I have ever received from Amazon ordered! I ordered this and received it broken. Ok, no problem requested a replacement and returned the broken rod. The second rod was broken as well. They both looked like they were returned from other customers. The quality of the rods is more like a child's doll house shower curtain rod. You can literally bend some parts of it with your hand. Some parts look like they were spray painted. I returned the second one in June and the company literally just issued a refund today, August 15th. To top it off, they deducted a restocking fee! For what, I was charged to throw those rods in the trash because they were both useless and had no need to be restocked. Don't waste your money, time, or expectations on this cheap, crappy quality product! The company should be ashamed to sell it because even if it wasn't broken the quality is still so exceptionally poor! It could be sold in the dollar store and still not be worth the price.

I am very happy with this item. The only concern that I had was that the end caps do not like to click into place very easily and the rod is a little tricky to connect but it holds up very well. We are currently using it for my son's bedroom window treatments. His window is enclosed between two walls which makes it almost impossible to use a regular curtain rod and still cover the window so this product works brilliantly for our needs.

I was so frustrated with my tension shower curtain rod that kept falling. This rod comes with everything needed to snugly mount. The directions were easy to follow and we got it installed in about 5 minutes (could be installed by one person by themself, but much easier with 2). After installing i gave the shower curtain a little pull and it wasn’t going anywhere.

Definitely doesn't feel as solid as the old style in your mom and dad's bathroom, but I didn't hear any swearing when hubby installed it so that's a good sign. Looks just fine.

Super cheaply made and I only received half the rod. It wasn’t worth returning.

Advertised as chrome -- it's colour may be chromem it is such light weight plastic it couldn't survive shipping. Terrible product.
