ELM 327 OBD-II USB Interface dongle
This product was everything described in the sellers description, and functions perfectly. There's a few things that I do like, and a few things that I do not. I will go over the Pros and Cons.Pros:Fast frames = The update interval is fast, providing more constant and accurate feedback several times a second.Compatible = The great thing about the ELM 327 IC Chip is the fact that it communicates with a lot of different protocols, allowing it to work on virtually any OBD-II style vehicle. The serial style interface (COM Port) allows the tool to work with many different programs.Inexpensive = For the ratio of money saved self-diagnosing your car vs. the price of this product, It's a must buy. This tool will pay for itself in no time.Functionality = Displays most sensor data that is monitored by your car's PCM. o2 sensors, coolant temp, engine loads, misfiring information, Check Engine (MIL) codes, Code history, Clears codes, air intake/manifold pressure, and many more parameters....Cons:Inability to write: You can not use this tool to write data and remap a car's PCM or change any parameters of the vehicle.Lack of technical data: I personally expected the tool to display more information than it does. Do not get me wrong here... It does display everything a typical person needing a tool such as this would need. I was in hopes of even more data than this displays. I don't know if this is a tool limitation, or the PCM does not provide the data, or perhaps I am not using the right software. This tool is very helpful for your cars, and also, perhaps making a little cash diagnosing other people's vehicles (Even though you can read a trouble code (Ex: Coolant Temp too low), There's still some mechanical knowledge required to figure out WHY the code is there (Ex: Malfunctioning sensor, problem with PCM, or actually a problem with coolant temp being low due to a bad water pump, thermostat stuck closed, etc...))I give this tool a 5 out of 5, Mainly because it does serve the purpose it was designed and advertised for, and very functional. I love it.

Works for my 98 concorde
Forget using the disk. Not working for me on win 7, 8. If you still have XP then its good. For the doofies who say "does not work, I have windows such and such"...did you really think something for $10 or less that is doing a $50+ job is going to support windows 8 or even 7?Check out the manufacturer date on that bad boy. It just got released when windows 7 did! There's not a snowballs chance in heck, that it would be compatible with it! 2011 yeah, but 2010? nooo.people need to research before they buy.

Best tool you can have to work on your car
This is by far the best thing I have ever bought for working on my car. You do need to have some good diagnostic software on your computer to really use this product to its full potential. The software included is not very good but there are some good free OBDII software packages out there and some excellent ones that you need to pay for. Even if you pay for a good software package, its still less than a trip to the dealership. If all you need to do is read and clear trouble codes this thing will work great with the free OBDII apps you can find out on the internet.

ELM 327 OBD-II
Works fine but you should be computer savvy. To really learn what this can do, read the datasheet for the ELM327 chip and have a copy of J1979. (The datasheet was useful because I had to repair it after I got it - cracked solder joint inside, but the overall circuit board quality is fine.) I'm using Windows 7. I did not have to install any USB-to-serial drivers from the disk. (Copied all the files to my computer and scanned the directory using Microsoft Security Essentials. It did find a questionable file.) Under Device Manager->Ports, try to see what COM port it uses. Try to use a low numbered COM port. You need to know the COM port for the OBD programs.Comes with several OBD programs on disk. Some work, some don't, some are limited function demos, some are for other devices (non-PC). You may need to do a search for professional OBD programs that work with the ELM327 chip if you don't like the free ones or limited function demos. You don't actually have to use any OBD program at all; you can use a serial terminal program to talk to the ELM327 chip, which understands the multiple OBD protocols, and issue the OBD mode(service) numbers and PID numbers directly.

Beware - mine was counterfeit
It works alright, but the software it came with is super old, lots of unimplemented features, and downloading the new software resulted in the message that the item was counterfeit and refused to work.

simple, super cheap and functional
Most OBD readers are very very expensive when that is totally not necessary. This is simple and wonderful. I have fixed many a friends car with this. Of course, my own car is too old to use OBD but I still think this is great.

ELM 327 OBD 2 Diagnostic Tool
I have not been able to make this device work. I've used the supplied software, downloaded additional software, and updated all the drivers. I work for a large organization and our tech support people can't get it to work either. They tell me the device is faulty. None of us are able to establish communication through any of the USB ports. I've tried using it on Vista and Windows 7 on several different laptops and on a number of different vehicles.I contacted the seller who sent me some directions in Spanish on establishing communication. Our Spanish speaking tech people still couldn't make it work. Both computers are able to run other OBD 2 devices without any difficulty.Based on the price I feel I got what I paid for.

Works great with effort
This worked great to pull codes from my car (95 Infiniti G20). It took a fair amount of effort though. First off, I had to install virtual com port drivers so that it would work with ODB2 software. It took a little research, but I got them installed. The next thing was finding which COM was which USB port on my laptop. Once I got that all sorted out, it worked like a charm. Due to the low price I would recommend this cable, just know you will need to add some tech savvy to get it working with your computer.
