Pure One Midi Series 3s Portable Digital DAB/DAB+ and FM Radio with Alarms, Timers and Aux-In Option, Slate Blue

I originally ordered the Pure UK Evoke D1 but, thanks to Amazon advertising it alongside the wrong D1 battery, I ended up being able to cancel the radio and not the battery which I had ordered separately. I couldn't be bothered to send the battery back so, I bought a radio that used the battery that I had ended up being stuck with. However, I am very happy with it. It is a little larger than I wanted but, that really doesn't matter. The sound quality is great, as good as my very expensive Roberts vintage style dab radio. It is easy enough to set up and does just what I need without a load of functionality that I don't need. The only thing as yet untested is it's performance on the D1 battery - I will comment on this later - hopefully, a lot later. I will be using it on battery only - it is supposed to last 20 hours so we will see.PS Have now been using this radio for a number of years and am very happy with it. The battery is certainly long lasting - I use it as a bedroom radio and it is never run on mains electric - only on battery and charged from solar electric. It is my best purchase from Amazon that I didn’t want - see earlier review. I am now very pleased that I did not keep the radio that I originally purchased and ordered this one instead.

Nice radio good sound and easy to set up

I bought this item to replace an older Pure Series One Classic Series II - they are the same size. The sound quality is possibly slightly better than the older model. The main improvement of this model is it has some station pre-set buttons, which makes changing between your favourite stations much easier. I use it with the Pure ChargePAK D1 rechargeable battery, which is expensive but worth purchasing. With the Chargepak it does take a few seconds for it to start up, though.

It's quite expensive at full price. For the full rrp I would expect it to have Bluetooth connectivity not just a aux in. Also i miss being able to control the rolling track information.

This was the 4th Pure digital radio that I have purchased. The presets on the first one didn't work but other than that they are great, very durable, good sound etc. As my newest radio I didn't expect it to crash and die after 3 years though. Tried to put it on the other day and got nothing so changed the batteries as usual and still nothing. Took batteries out and plugged into the mains. The clock came on but none of the buttons worked anymore. I spoke to Pure (very good customer service by the way) and they said that unfortunately these things happen and there was nothing they could do. Very apologetic but refused to replace it. I now have a useless 3 year old digital radio which will end up in Landfill supposedly. Very disappointed with this model - don't buy.

This is a lovely little radio. It looks great in my kitchen. So easy to use. It set itself up time, channels etc. I am very pleased with this purchase. You can use mains electricity or it hs a rechargable pack youcan purchase. Very good indeed.

Radio is working very well. Picks up DAB signals very well, much better than my previous DAB radio.Good set of pre-sets which are easy to program in.
