Got this for my husband for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He really enjoyed setting it up and it seems to work really well! The fact that it links up to a smart phone is huge so he can always keep an eye on his humidor's state without having to open it!

Fantastic product. Easy to calibrate, easy to use, and easy to connect to. It's also very small so its ver discrete!

Not connecting to my Huawei phone ... I tried everything. Switch phone off/on, Bluetooth off/on, changed battery in the butler, turned location settings off/on, uninstalled app and installed again, even without phone cover on but this does not want to connect. I then watch a couple of YouTube clips which advise I need a bridge device if want to be kept informed of my humidor status. I used an old iPhone SE and worked 2nd time of asking.

Item arrived safely packaged, instructions are easy to follow, really simple to set up.

Excellent idea. Although the execution is a little brash. Used with android, the app is so inconsistent, hangs for hours and crashes. Unfortunately, this renders the hardware unusable for its intended purpose. On the fly display appears to be accurate but historical data is near impossible to obtain due to the app. It took 3 days to calibrate the sensor, attributed to the poor app design. I am now over £50 into the Boveda experience for my humidor and on the whole I cant really say that it's worth the time money or hassle. Nice idea, but please try harder with the software.

After calibrating the Butler, it only took a few weeks before the readings started to become more and more inaccurate. By the end of the first month it was displaying 80%+ humidity in a humidor stocked with 69% Boveda packs. I have multiple hygrometers in the humidor which were all calibrated together with the Butler and they all gave consistent readings but the Butler just got more and more inaccurate as time went on. I tried to re-calibrate it after 3 months but I think the battery died during the process, it said it needed 24 hours to calibrate but when the time was up it would just get stuck, tried several times but it would never get past "finalising calibrations". My Caliber IV hygrometer batteries last literally YEARS compared to MONTHS in the Butler.Boveda humidity packs are amazing, but their Butler is absolutely garbage. Save your money and get a traditional digital hygrometer.

After few month of using, I think that little device is total waste of money. It started showing humidity being too high when my boveda packets should be at 69%. I decided to recalibrate and it was off >5%. It makes no sense to have to re-calibrate every 3 months and to get such large deviation. Basically engineered so that you keep on buying the calibration kits… would be much better off with xikar hygrometer

Unfortunately the Butler would not sync to my iPhone and no one from Boveda was willing to help and instead referred me to Bluestream. Nobody from Bluestream has offered to help or is available by phone. Effectively I’ve bought a product that can’t be used and has been a complete waste of money. Highly disappointed.

Lo calibre con su Boveda que trae para poder usarlo, lo puse como referencia en mi humidor pero estoy super confuso:-Los primeros 5 meses lo deje como mi única referencia para tener mis puros a 72% de humedad pero noté que los puros estaban perdiendo humedad y poniéndose cada mes más secos y duros en lugar de ese punto de "corcho" en el que deben de estar.-Noté que el higrómetro del humidor al principio coincidía con la boveda pero con los meses me marcaba que había menos humedad pero la Boveda marcaba entre 70-75.-Recalibre ambos para ver si pasaba lo mismo y seguía con discrepancias en las lecturas cuando Boveda me marcaba 72% el higrómetro me marcaba 60% y cuando ponía el higrómetro a 72% Boveda me marcaba la humedad en 84%-Compare con otro humidor más pequeño que tengo y aunque aunque no era tanta las diferencias daba lecturas distintas.-Decidí mejor comprar un higrómetro digital para una tercera lectura y obtuve igual lecturas diferentes el higrómetro digital me marcaba 70% el del humidor 72% pero Boveda 84%No lo recomendaría porque algunos meses mis puros estuvieron con menor humedad y la verdad estaban y están en mejor condición cuando uso el digital y el del humidor.

I gave it 5-stars as it works and does what it says... but since it uses bluetooth technology, you have to be in close proximity... If I am close, I might as well just open the box and look at my hygrometer.Also, the battery life is oddly short for a device that is really not doing much.Like I said, it's doing what its designed to, so 5-stars for that... Am I glad I bought? Meh..

After careful consideration,I wanted to review the butler. If you smoke cigars then BUY this.After seasoning my humidor with the seasoning kit from Boveda the butler is like an alarm system for your cigars in Canada our humidity is up and down,Boveda will ensure your humidor is running at optimal performance giving you warnings so you can correct any humidity or temperature problems instantly. After seasoning give it at least seven days to acclimate to your humidor. Nothing better than checking your app to see consistent temperatures!! I see some complaints about the battery, the cost of replacing the battery every three months is nothing compared to losing or drying out your cigars.

Una vez calibrado, cumple perfectamente. Es muy práctico y el margen de error muy bajo. Lo recomiendo.

Product is discontinued since April 2021 by manufacturer, Boveda doesn't sell it on their own website anymore.I found this out after buying.The idea is great and I needed this, but unfortunately the humidity is 6 to 8% off. I found it already strange that during the calibration phase it showed 85% the whole time(24hrs) and at the last minute it changed to 72%. (yes I removed the front sticker).I have tested this against a Cigar Oasis Caliber IV which I tested in a bag of 69% and in a bag with 75% boveda packs. The Cigar Oasis was for me 100% correct.I can understand and ignored complaints about the app, because everyone has a different brand of phone. For me the app was great. Hell.. I was even checking the app more than my crypto stocks heheApparently it was to difficult to produce, but I would expect from Boveda to have a decent research budget before they bring it to the market. I forgive Boveda because they make such awesome packs. But I do not recommend this product. I uses it for temperature now and just rely on the Boveda packs, which I can highly recommend.
