Brilliant Little Fan Heater 1200 Watt.
Not as hot as 2000 watt fan heaters but the heat from this at 1200 watts is still good.Once the temperature is reached the heat cuts out but the fan continues running throughout till the temperature drops and the heat kicks in again.Digital 2 digit temperature display on the top of the heater. Our electric fire which is 2000 watts and it's a bit heavy on the old electric when in use and the plug gets hot too.We put our fan heater on the hearth next to the electric fire, at 1200 watt it warms the room and doesn't use as much power in doing so. The half heat setting is 600 watt. The plug does not get warm on this appliance which is safe.Supervision is needed when using around children and the elderly, like with any electrical appliances that may get hot during use. This fan heater ocillates from side to side when set. This fan heater is not much good if you are going to use it with one of those remote control plug/socket thingy majigs. This fan heater is not remotely controlled but it should be as you can't switch it on with a remote control plug/socket thingy majig if you're in bed or something!Great product though 😀

It heats the room but don't expect much
When using the turning function it seems to creak and make a lot of noise as it seems there is a ball bearing or something lose (probably part of the anti-tip system or the turning timing system). As described it's not big and it heats my small room ok but you can probably get better heaters for the same price. It makes a clicking sound when the room reaches the desired temperature which is ok but a little annoying. The thermostat seems to not be 100% accurate and instead of just setting a temperature and leaving it you will probably have to adjust the temperature when it gets too cold. It is a little louder than I expected. Also, you can turn the thing on with the power button on the top but for some reason, it doesn't turn the thing off. If you want to turn it off you will either have to do it by unplugging it or there is an on/off switch on the back. On the plus side it does look good (even though its mostly made of plastic). The lights and the LCD screen are a real plus. And apart from it being slightly louder than I expected (about the sound of a loud overheating computer) without setting it to turn it seems to do the job of heating my uni room and looking good and not taking up too much space (bit annoying when it hit the desired temperature and clicks). When holding the "mode" button down something appears on the screen but I am really not sure what it is (some sort of settings menu I guess). So, in conclusion, I would return it but can't be bothered to go through the hassle of returning it and getting another heater. This one heats my room so, for now, it is staying.I remember that on a film set I was working on they had these heaters (Warmlite WL42005N) and they seemed to work well - ish. Definitely warmer than this one and at a cheaper price and also because it was a film set it had to be silent (no thermostat tho, or cool fan mode)

It works - more or less
On the plus side it looks good and works as a heater but manages to disappoint on nearly all of it's additional features. I can only speak for the unit I have but …….- The full heat (3 red lights) works but the reduced heat (1 red light) appears to blow out only cold air- When the target temperature is reached the unit makes loud clicking noises as the heating element seems to be switched on and off repeatedly- The swing function works on cold (3 blue lights) and reduced heat (but see above) but not on full heat where it turns a bit one way and then the other in a random fashion but losing the smooth side to side motion it should have.I have not sent it back as it heats the room but it was a close run thing.

Stopped working after two months
It has a digital thermostat. I was disappointed not to be able to set it lower than 16 degrees. I wanted to leave it as a defrost defence. Anyway, I left it just blowing the air around instead. After a couple of months it just stopped working.
