Wow
Wow, absolutely loved this book. I resonated with all of the experiences he talked about and the sages he encountered and the way they view the world. I wasn’t expecting to love this book so much, but it was incredible. A must read for anyone interested in what lies beyond.

But I am very pleased to experience the key teachings
I may not ever have the opportunity to learn from the masters duirextlu, I may never visit the Himalayas or be with these teachers... But I am very pleased to experience the key teachings, key lessons, through this accomplished man's life experience. I have less regret now.I almost didn't get this book, but I am 100% glad I did. Every page has a lesson, an experience that enlightened in itself. It is so good, I cannot put it down, and I don't want it to end. It is so relevant I plan to use it as a daily reading for children when they become of age. I am grateful. Thank you.

Worth a read for sure. Excellent first hand account
Overall the book is a great read it you want to experience about mysticism and get exposed to unknown side of Indian theological and religious account first hand. It's an excellent read narrating a boy's transcendence from normal life to a revered and visionary yogi and guru, including life stories of some other great souls who blessed Indian people during their visitation as humans.Condition of the book ordered was ss expected, although was more used than I imagined. Had someone's name written on the front page. And pages were turned yellow due to age, but what matters is the content.

Review by FisherRouletteSoftware.com
Hi, Johan here, with a short review of the book "Living With The Himalayan Masters".Although I haven't finished the book yet, I can definitely recommend it to anyone interested in spiritualmatters. The book shows us what is possible if we attain that state of oneness with God. It ispossible for anyone to become like that ! Through meditation and prayer ! And by thinking unlimited thoughts !The book is written in a clear style, easy readable and also humorous. It has a considerable number of pages, which I like because you wish the book would never end. It has also some beautiful pictures in it which complementthe beautiful scenes of the Himalaya and the temples etc. described in the book.If you like this book - and I do ! - you will surely also like the books "Life and teachings of the masters of the far east" by Baird Spalding and "Adventures of a western mystic" by Peter mt. Shasta. I think they are available via Amazon also.Greetings,Johan

Fascinating- better the second time around
Written in a simple first person narrative, it really is a collection of remembrances but illustrates a practical way to incorporate Yogic principles in everyday life. I liked that he was unsparing in recalling his own callow and egostic youth. Mind you after looking at the reviews on his biography, I read an article by Katherine Webster online and it sounds as if Swami Rama still had ego problems in his adult days! But this book is still good and I enjoyed it better after reading the said article as it sounds as if he did all the things he dismissed the other 'fake' swamis of doing. I rather got the feeling he might have kept on the Spiritual path had he stayed in India- indeed he warns that one has to be quite strong-willed and focussed to not get seduced by fame and fortune.

There is somethin' goin' on over there. The miraculous does still occur.
There is something goin' on over there in India way beyond anything happening in the West. After China India is the oldest extant culture in the world today. Perhaps it takes that much time to evolve that level of consciousness. This book is a superlative examination of the extraordinary feats some yogis can achieve. Swami Rama died in the 1980's and he was classically educated so his perceptions are more modern than some of the other "adepts" that write on the subjects in this book. This book is credable, thought provoking and if nothing else entertaining. Read it.

This is one of the best books I have read on various Himlayan masters of yoga and Sanyasi of India.

Life Changing!
I have read this book many times and each read, it's as thought I am hearing his message again for the first time. The book is filled with insights and lessons into the human condition as experienced by this true Himalayan Master. It's realistic, believable and more importantly, these experiences are achievable for any true seeker who chooses to know the mind. I have met many deciples of Swami Rama and he was everything this books states and more. At a time when there are few true Masters, the wisdom presented here is timeless and more relevant today that ever before. A true classic!
