I have used this item on three cars as the final finish for restoring the car headlights.I do the initial restoration with 3M headlight restoration kit. Then I apply this coating to the lens and it has lasted for almost three years and still looks new. This gave both of my vehicles a true makeover. It turns out crystal clear if you follow the included instructions. They have started hazing up again after about 6 months but no yellowing.

Incredible. Wet sand with 800 grit, 1200 grit, 2000 grit. Apply lens coating. Crystal clear. Plenty of fluid to do many headlights. Old 1991 Dodge Dakota and 2004 Lexus ES 330 shown. Very pleased.

2009 Mazda CX9, I did one headlight with SafeTclear and the clear coat dried with hazy streaks and blotches. So I did the second headlight with the Sylavania kit and it looked fantastic. The Sylvania clear coat applied so well that I decided to apply it over the blotchy SafeTclear and it looked great. I've used 5 different brands of headlight kits, some of which do not include a clear coat. I've found that multi stage sanding followed by a clear coat produces the best results. Sylvania lasts the longest. I'm giving 1 star to SafeTclear because a product like this should not fail during the final stage of a lot of work, and then has to be reworked to make it right.
