Fine Woodworking on Bending Wood: 35 Articles (Fine Woodworking on Series)

I'm a professional woodworker and like to incorporate curved aspects in my designs for cabinetry. I found this book very helpful because it covers so many different tecniques. There are many ways to skin the cat; You will find most of them here. Illustrations are typical for old Fine Woodworking articles; black and white and adequate to make the material more accessable if not a joy to behold. This book encouraged me to forge ahead into some new tecniques; What more can you ask?

I received this book, but I do not remember ordering it. This is not a book that I would have ordered. The book is OK; but the book I remember buying was "Spindle Turning" not "Bending Wood". The "Bending Wood" came with the "Spindle Turning" Book. So I put Bending on my book shelf and there it sits today.

Fast delivery, and book is in great shape.

This is just a reprint of old to very old FWW articles. All Black and White. Overall, it will be helpful.

My husband loves working with wood. He and his friend were building a canoe in our basement. He wanted to know the correct way to bend wood without it breaking. This book did the trick. It has become part of his woodworking library. Thank you.

It could have been a little more complete on how-tos. Picture are to old, the information was geared to much to it was done in years gone by.

It's 'Fine Woodworing On,' nuff said.

Great advice for woodbending techniques!

I bought this book to help me write my dissertation at university. My tutor had a copy of it and I had come across it in the library. I knew that it was a book worth having.In the book it has many areas of bending from building your molds and forms to the best way in steaming your wood.This may be a bit heavy for beginners,but don't just go of what it says in the book. Bending is all about what you find out and what works for you.If your interested in bending wood this has to be top of your list.
