Kinda flimsy
Staff began to unravel at the end after only being deployed once or twice.

Don't buy for children
Do not buy this gift for children, it can and will cut people. My roommate wanted to try it out and when the staff extended it sliced his finger open. That being said it seems pretty sturdy, and as long as you aren't a child and take proper safety precautions it's a fairly good buy

Make sure it has a PIN to hold it shut if yours arrives
It arrived without a PIN to hold it in place and so it fell apart so not a good Kane. I am worried someone returned it because they broke it and I ended up with it

Very DANGEROUS!
This is an incredibly dangerous item. I bought two of these canes, to be used by some of my students. The first one opened (very dramatically, and shot across the room). It would not close for me to re-package and return it. When the second one arrived, I picked it up to open the package. Before I got it open, the cane shot open, hit my leg very hard (leaving a large welt and bruise) and shot several feet across the room--nearly hitting another person in the room. I'm very grateful that it didn't, and that no students were in the room at the time. I would NOT buy this product, as I would be very concerned it would injure someone permanently.

Safety issues!!!!!!
This wand did not open or close as it was suppose to. Once the wand was open it took forever to try and get it closed. It is very dangerous! The bottom of the wand is sharp with metal ridges. My son cut his hand on the bottom trying to get the wand closed. The design is horrible. The spring load within this system can seriously get someone hurt. I was trying to close it and the spring load popped the wand open which hit the wall so hard it left a mark. I am so glad one of my kids wasn't looking into the wand when the wand spring let loose. It would have completely damaged the eye with all the force the spring ejected! This is very dangerous and should be taking off the market! I trashed it so nobody would get hurt.
