Works as expected; would buy again.
Work as expected. I have a transmitter running to a switch and from there going out to two different receivers along cat6 cabling. The furthest cable run is about 80 ft. Video feed is great.

Works as advertised.
Doc's review in October 2016 hit the nail on the head.I'm not much of a networking guru. I know enough to get by, but I'm no expert. My intention for buying this was to mirror my Apple TV's signal from my living room to my kitchen. I am a diehard Carolina Panthers fan but live in Oregon, so I subscribe to the streaming NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch all of the games. I stream to my iPad and cast it to my TV using the Apple TV in the living room. On Sunday mornings, either my partner or myself are in the kitchen frying up some bacon, so only one of us can see the game that's playing in the living room. I purchased an HDMI splitter and this device hoping to easily transmit my living room apple TV to the kitchen.I have a 1st-gen eero mesh wifi system in my home. One of the eeros is in the kitchen next to the TV. My Tivo Mini runs off the wireless eero (the Tivo mini requires MOCA or an ethernet connection. Using the eero as an access point, I'm able to have full functionality of the Tivo Mini.) I hoped to be able to "trick" this unit into working over wifi as well.Notsomuch. That did not work at all. Not only did I get no picture at all, it sucked up all of my bandwidth and I wasn't getting any Internet at all. I decided against buying a much more expensive wireless transmitter because of all of the reviews stating how buggy they were, so I manned up, got some cat5e cable, drilled some holes in the floor, and ran some cableThis excited me because I thought I'd be able to not only use this device, but I'd also get some wired backhaul to my kitchen eero. After running the cable, I tried several different ways to connect the Mirabox to my network, and each time it bogged me down so bad that I lost all of my Internet connectivity. At the end of the day, I have this completely removed from my network and have the sender and receiver connected via about 30ft of cat5e cable. It works great, there's no latency, and I'll be able to fry bacon while having football playing in the kitchen and the living room. I'm giving it 5 stars because, even though it didn't work how I wanted it to, I was trying to use it in ways in which it was not designed. Now that I'm using it per the owner's manual, it works great.Other reviewers have had luck having this work on their home network. I bet I could have figured it out, but as it was my home network was working fine anyway. The wired backhaul to my kitchen eero was just a bonus, but not really needed. Maybe it's the eero, or maybe it's the fact that I was trying to get it work through too many switches... I dunno. But it works great now!

Amazing
I bought this along with 75 feet of cat 6 cable. I have Comcast cable and wanted to leave the DVR on one side of the house and have a bedroom TV with cable on the other. This arrangement has been working perfectly for over a week. The bedroom TV needed a slight adjustment due to the image having a tiny bit less brightness. I didn't feel like that was a problem since the resulting image is gorgeous. There is no problem with the sound either. I am completely happy with this product. One thing that was a plus was that my Yamaha AV receiver has two HDMI out ports that are selected with the remote. That fact allowed one for each room. Another plus is that the X1 remote is IR which means I can view the guide and change channels from across the house. No repeater needed. Consider carefully your situation.About the install. Attach the boxes to the source and destination with HDMI cables first. Then I suggest you just run the Ethernet cable across the floor. Plug the boxes in and make sure that the remote TV is getting the signal. If you have success then install the Ethernet cable and you are done. It really is simple - except for the part about running the Ethernet cable.
