TOAKS Titanium Folding Spoon

I use this with a GI canteen cook set. Works perfect for the job and, when folded, fits in the velcro pocket that's usually used for water purification tablets. I have the spoon and a trioxane tab in the pocket. Great design, not too many nooks-and-crannies (easy to clean), and very light weight. It's a must-have item for people who want a one-stop-shopping GI canteen cook set that fits in a regular pouch. It's also perfect for anyone looking for a lite and compact spoon. Please note, this is not going to reach to the bottom of any regular freeze-dried meal pouch. It's just too short for that kind of thing.

I just received my purchase of the TOAKS Titanium Folding Fork and TOAKS Titanium Folding Spoon -- they are super light weight and sturdy. The stuff sack is (blaze orange and cinches close with their logo foot) included for each is attractive too. This is what was needed for the GSI Outdoors Halulite MicroDualist Cookware Set. GSI Outdoors take on the spork are okay, should do the job but these TOAKS utensils are metal and I prefer metal over plastic any day.When I first unfolded the fork I was under the impress it was defective as it folded right up will little force. However, sliding the bar with the word TITANIUM on handle toward fork it strengthens hinged area, fork is almost as strong as an unfoldable utensil.There is merely a negligible difference in weight compared to GSI Outdoor sporks and metal trumps plastic every time in my book.Not that it matters to most considering purchasing the TOAKS Titanium Folding Fork and TOAKS Titanium Folding Spoon but it coordinates extremely well with the GSI Outdoors Halulite MicroDualist Cookware Set. Perhaps GSI Outdoors and TOAKS can compliment each other in the future. I bought this for my son to fit inside his Toaks 550ml pot with his Wildo Fold-A-Cup. It fits perfectly inside the pot WITH the Wildo as well, and the whole setup weighs several ounces. The Toaks folding spoon is great for the adult backpacker as well as a cook or mess kit for younger backpackers or scouts. It's super lightweight and compact, the mouth feel isnt harsh at all, its surprisingly smooth. Also it is easy to clean, the handle is able to be separated from the spoon portion and either way it can be thrown in the dishwasher if need be.Excellent product, as expected from any Toaks item, and I would buy one again if needed. I know Toaks quality well, as I own several of their products, and I would definitely buy more Toaks products in the future or recommend them to a friend.

Everything you see in the picture -- compact, light, easy to clean. A tad short if you're eating from deep pre-packaged mylar bags, but why do that? lol Very happy with this.

This is portable, with a good shape for the bowl of the spoon. If it stopped folding on me, I would love this. In order to properly hold it, the joint needs to be supported from behind. Say, by an index finger. It's just that I don't want to hold my spoon like that. Without that support, the spoon will fold when you scoop even yogurt.I prefer to hold a spoon from the rear of the handle, which I can with other TOAKS products. I believe that this is a well-made product, but not well-designed enough for folks like me.

This is a great folding spoon. Some people complain that the spoon will fold up accidently. There is a slider tab that moves up and down the spoon handle. This slider tab needs to be down towards the spoon joint. This expands the wire handle and keeps pressure on the handle taught so the spoon can't fold up. If this is down, there is no way for the spoon to accidentally collapse. I think some people are not very mechanically inclined and don't figure this trick out.Fits perfectly into my Snowpeak titanium cup with my MSR Pocket Rocket and a fuel canister.

Fold nicely and is super sturdy. Folds nicely in my Trangia teapot.

I just bought two of these spoons. I think they are fantastic. I don't understand the bad reviews. I think some people don't understand that you have to slide the little metal slider toward the bowl end after you open the spoon. I just lifted 2.1 kg with the spoon, with no trouble at all.

フォールディングタイプの物については　オプティマスの物とロゴが違うだけで全く同じです。使用感とは関係ないが　画像の方がカッコよく見える。というのも　実際に届いた物は画像の物とは違い　先が口当たりを良くする為か鏡面仕上げになっている。もしかしたら画像の物は旧タイプ？　ロングハンドルスプーンを購入した際も　以前の物は画像の様にマットだったが　最近購入した物は鏡面仕上げの物だった。フォークに関してはマットのままだと思うが　スポークも同様に鏡面仕上げがしてある。
