Get an added angling advantage with LakeMaster Plus mapping, which adds high-quality aerial photography to its unrivaled accuracy and detail, easy-to-read contours, highlighted depth ranges, and scrollable lake lists. LakeMaster digital maps provide the most detailed, high-definition collection of freshwater mapping in the United States, with unmatched depth contours between 1-3 feet (in high definition) or 3-5 feet (standard definition). This LakeMaster Plus Great Lakes Edition, Version 2 boasts more than 380 lake maps in high definition and over 1,540 total lakes from MI, IN, and OH, with over 140 lakes added since the prior version. Version 2 includes updated shallow-water areas for Lake Michigan and parts of Lake Superior, full coverage of Lake Superior, all of Lake Huron (including Georgian Bay), Beaver Island on Michigan in HD, a new HD survey of Lake St Clair (including Canadian side), and more. LakeMaster Plus enables you to view an aerial image overlay on high-definition waters to see the entry and exits of creek channels, to see how far a reef or weed line extends, and to pick out shallow-water rock piles, steep drop-offs, and other features. Easy-to-see shading highlights shallow-water areas within an adjustable range up to 30 feet, and depth contours and shorelines can be synchronized with the actual water levels of lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. LakeMaster digital maps can be used with Minn Kota i-Pilot Link (sold separately), allowing you to follow a selected depth contour line to deliver precise, automatic boat control. Collected by Humminbird's own team of GIS analyst cartographers, LakeMaster high-definition maps are created from on-the-water surveys using hundreds of thousands of depth soundings, plus state-of-the-art GPS and sonar technologies. LakeMaster Plus digital maps come on a Micro SD card (with included SD card adapter) that's compatible with all GPS-equipped HELIX, SOLIX, ONIX, and ION Series models and select 600-1100 Series models. Strictly intended for use in your Humminbird GPS unit, LakeMaster mapping cards are not PC compatible and map files could be corrupted if accessed on a computer.

Difficult to navigate the "app," missing important lakes
I missed before purchase that the card did not have Saginaw Bay on it. How can a Great Lakes card NOT have Saginaw Bay? Lake St Clair is a high def lake, but contour labels are not on the map. Other HD maps are quite good, but some non-HD lake maps are essentially useless. When changing lakes one has to exit the lake the map is on and go back to "lake list" and find the new lake. There is no list of "favorites" available to quickly change lakes. I'll keep it just for the fact that some features of Lake St Clair are shown and are missing from my other maps. I know the area well enough so that if I can navigate the boat to the feature, I can fish it well. Overall, it's a disappointment.

Not very accurate, difficult to load
Was disappointed in the lack of direction on updating the Helix 7 I planned to use it on. I had 3 tech calls and DM's with customer service. First I needed to update my version from 1.64 to 2.30 on a micro sd card. Bought a 128mg set at Costco, loaded the update off the website and the unit would not read( loading that micro sd card is archaic). Called tech support they said it will only recognize a 32mg card, ran to Staples and got the 32mg card, loaded the update and still wouldn't update, tech said I needed the V2 I believe, nice enough to email it to me. Loaded it finally and on startup it said invalid version. Called third time to tech support ( keep in mind I did not connect with tech on any call in, after lengthy hold times I was given the option for a call back, which I preferred but didn't need to stay on hold that long). So the tech says yeah, the invalid meant it updated to 2.30. I also indicated the new software didn't load to the unit, she indicated you have to leave the micro sd card in to use it, unless I missed it I never saw that in the instructions. So the Lake I frequent has ongoing dredging and the depths are way off in numerous area and this one will not update, you have to get the zero lines( which I started with but only came in SD card and the Helix 7 only takes micro sd. Kind of a frustrating purchase so hope this helps others to make there choice.

Disappointed.....
I bought my first "Plus" version of Lakemaster maps,... The Great Lakes version, and I'm pretty disappointed. The arial overlay is pretty pointless, at least on our reservoirs in Southern Indiana. I doubt I would spend the extra money for the Plus version again. It might be better on more developed lakes to shows houses and docks. But not on ours.Also.... I don't know who chooses which lakes that they map, but at least here in Southern Indiana, their choices don't make sense. We have two good sized reservoirs near us that are not mapped, yet they chose to map a couple small lakes near Bloomington that don't even allow boats. What's the sense of that for a Marine mapping chip?? I'll be sure to really research lake lists on Lakemaster cards before buying in the future!!!

Chart is WAY off
Bought this for a trip up to Big Bay De Noc to use in a brand new, current software Humminbird Helix 12. It was laughable how off this chart was. Followed all the directions, watched a bunch of videos, had the pool level/water offset set correctly. Matched it up with my Navionics ap, that was practically spot on. Contacted Humminbird C/S and they responded a few times...then nothing. I was hoping for better customer service after being a Lowrance customer for years - looks like they are all the same.

Accurate, reliable, compatible with Humminbird and Follow-the-Contour Minnkota
I like that this works reliably and is in a familiar format. I have several Lake Master chips, and prefer them over the several Navionics chips I own. Mostly for the compatibility with my Minn-Kota's follow-the-contour feature, but also for the familiar interface I've grown to know & trust from other Lake Master products. One day I'd like these to be $10 instead of $125+.

Works as described.
Original chip didn't work on any of my Helic units. Submitted a claim and received a new one about a week later. Second chip works as it's supposed to.

terrible
I bought this map card for my Helix 9 specifically to fish Lake Superior as its stated its updated maps of the great lakes.... BS its literally hundreds of feet off.... like 180' deep on the map and its 60' in real life.... I want my money back.. its missing ALL the structure that I want to fish

easy to use but expensive
The accuracy of the charts is NOT what it should be, even when water level adjustment is made. Navionics is better.
