A nice, quality little item for its price (at around £16 quid). I use it above kitchen cabinets for ambience and it's quite pleasant on the smooth setting, which gently alternates through a spectrum of pastel colours. One little niggle though, not every power bank will work with this properly. A USB wall socket at the right output voltage and wattage would work better (I use my e-cig charger) or you could fork out for the bank that comes with a variation of the same product.

As a led light strip it comes nicely packaged and at a good price point (about half the cost of the luminoodle when I ordered)I have 2 luminoodles and this is a direct rip off, but while the packaging is nice the corners that have been cut are clear. The remote is infra red and doesn't work very well, and there is no option to control on the main unit. The ties are thin and the light not as bright.

Bought to go camping and next week I'll have conducted a more thorough test, but initial hopes are high.The appear good quality, for the price, and the features/functions are excellent.

Potentially a great product but let down by what appears to be either awful design, poor quality components, bad manufacturing or poor quality control. Or any combination of the above.Have now had three of the remote control colour version of this product. The first two were effectively DOA - what appeared to be a loose connection in the cable where the IR receiver is, mean the lights would not respond to the remote unless you pinched the cable by the receiver. After a few attempts, even this stopped working as did the lights.Finally got a third one which seemed to work but, the first time we came to use it in anger (as lighting in a tent), it developed exactly the same fault occurred and the remote stopped responding. Having just got the item out to test it again, it's completely broken and won't turn on at all. Just outside the return window so contacting Amazon customer services for a full refund and will definitely not be asking for another.Such a shame as this was exactly the product I was looking for.

This is a great wee product that surpasses its price

This is the second one of these I’ve had. The first set failed within days so I returned it for a refund. I’ve had the second one since the start of June but have only used it for 10 days of camping in total and it has now also stopped working. Annoyed that I now won’t be able to get a refund as these lights are useless. The wiring just comes apart way too easily, which is a shame as they are great when they work. I would save your money and buy the much more expensive original version of these!
