Buy this now!
I love this pump! I recommend it for any and every nursing momma. Prior to this one I was using a competitors brand that is very similar but after about a month of use it seemed to not stay suctioned as well. With a kicking baby, I sadly lost some liquid gold prompting me to try this one out! I have now been using this one for just about two months and it is as good as the day I got it. As you can see in the picture attached it is a thicker silicone and just seems more sturdy overall. The flower stopper really does work! When nursing I attach this on the opposite side and I have caught anywhere from 1-2.5 ounces at a time. Awesome way to increase my freezer stash! If you aren’t getting much or the suction isn’t the best make sure you read the instructions and put it on correctly. The flange should be flipped back and at the same time the body of the pump should be pinched/squeezed. Cover the nipple with the opening and then pull the flange back into place before releasing the pump. The amount of suction power will be determined by how much the body of the pump was pinched/ squeezed when putting it on!

Learning curve
At first I thought I wasted my money, but once I got the hang of it, this thing is truly amazing. In one breastfeeding session i can fill up the entire 5 oz bulb. It is helping me build a huge stash while not being attached to an electric pump. Also I can truly attest to the stopper, as this evening I used the haakaa, placed the stopper and set it on the bed next to me nestled in my comforter while I got my self situated and the baby put in the bassinet. Well I forgot it was in the bed and flung the comforter up, the haakaa literally went flying across the room and landed on my tile floors with a bounce. The stopper stayed in place and there was no spilled milk!!! Omg I was about to freak out... that alone made it worth the high price point lol

Measurements are WRONG
First of all I have never written a negative review only positive ones. With that said... I have been using this for about two weeks. And before today I would have given it 5 stars. I always use it on the opposite breast while nursing and was getting 3-5 oz each time. I was so excited to be producing enough this time for my baby girl because my baby before I had the hardest time with supply and it really broke me not being able to make enough to feed her. Today I learned that the ounce measurements on the haaka is completely WRONG!!! What I thought was 3.5 oz in the haaka is actually just under two. I am still producing enough this time, but almost half the amount I thought I was. It is VERY disappointing and discouraging for someone who struggled with supply to get a product that the ounce measurements are so off. I hope I just got the only one that is wrong. I’m still going to use it because it does it’s main purpose. Now each time I’ll have to add in an extra step of remeasuring before I store the milk for later use.

Easy to use, easy to clean and allows you to be hands free!
I have all types of pumps (Medela freestyle, Medela manual pump, spectra) but this product is the only one that is the sole reason I have extra milk stored away. It’s SO easy to use and easy to clean and allows me to be HANDS FREE which are the primary reasons I dreaded pumping with other pumps. I use this while my baby feeds on the opposite breast. Make sure you fold over the lip so you get a solid hold and squeeze for suction. Set it and forget it. I bought one and loved it so much I bought another to leave in my diaper bag or to have as an extra Incase I didn’t get around to cleaning the first haaka after use. Buy this, you won’t regret it!

On my list of must haves for new moms!
I got this after a fellow mom recommended it and I’m so glad I did! This is my second baby and I wish I had had it with my first too. It’s perfect for when you don’t want to bother with an electric pump but you still need to express a little. It’s also super easy to clean. If I were buying it again I wouldn’t bother getting the one with the suction cup on the bottom. I find it the suction cup doesn’t stick to most surfaces so that hasn’t been a useful feature for me. I also wouldn’t bother with the flower stopper since I just transfer the milk into a storage bag the moment I’m done. The stopper is helpful for keeping the inside clean between uses though. Bottom line, this definitely made my list of must haves for new moms.

Wish I tried this sooner!
I have an electric pump, that was very weak. This gave me a better output than the electric pump did. I usually use on the opposite breast when I’m feeding/pumping. I love it. The flower stopper definitely saved me from losing milk, so I’m glad I got it.Sometimes you can just squeeze the suction cup on, but to make sure it doesn’t fall; I follow the direction for application. (Squeezing and pulling back the top, the applying). When you do it that way, you never have to worry about it slipping, at least it hasn’t for me.The measurements are off by ~1oz

Great product but mine was torn
Hakkas are amazing but mine has a slight tear in the flange so doesn’t suction well like my others. Tried to use it and lost valuable milk. I would return but I have a new born and going back to work soon so I probably won’t get around to sending it back for a replacement (babies take up a lot of time lol) I’ll just eat the cost on this one and buy another.

Painful! Waste of money!
I read the reviews and was really excited to use this product. I tend to leak a lot on the opposite breast while baby nurses and wasting that milk was killing me! Well, I've tried the Haakaa multiple times and it's either an excruciating pain, or the thing keeps falling off. I pump with an electric double pump and it's never painful. Finding the "sweet spot" isn't as easy as it sounds and who's got the time to keep readjusting it over and over again when it's time to bond with baby? Bummer. And waste of money.
