Kurt Adler LED Color-Changing Light Star Treetop, 8.5-Inch

Wanted an LED color change star for my 4,5' tree. I was worried this one would be too large but it ended up being perfect! The Star is lightweight and bright My only wish upon this star is that it had different color change modes.

I had this exact topper for twenty years and it finally quit on me and I was so excited to see that Amazon had it and it worked out beautifully

I had been looking forever for a basic tree topper and after reading tons of reviews, finally settled on this one.The pros: Overall, this is the look I was going for. The star is very pretty, the lighting is soft, the colors go well with the multi-colored LED lights on our tree, and I like how the colors fade and change calmly. The size is also just fine for our 7 ft tree.The cons: I'm really not sure how this is supposed to stay securely on the tree using the green cone thing alone. I finally ended up using some twisty ties to get it attached without wobbling. Also, as others mentioned, there is a large adapter used to plug the star in. I was able to attach it to the end of my string of lights and bury it in the branches at the top of the tree, but it would have been much easier to have a smaller and lighter plug.Overall, despite its faults, I'm happy with this star and hope to use it for many Christmases to come.

Returning this- Star is too heavy for artificial trees

This star looks really nice on the LED illuminated tree we have in the rec room.I wanted to match the really nice LED lights we have on our tree with a LED star. This one fit the bill. The LEDs turn on and off in a more sweeping pattern, while always having most of it illuminated at all time. I'm not a fan of strobe lights on a tree and I didn't want my star to do it either. I can live with the wave of light effect but would have preferred if there was a way to keep it on at all times.What was strange was that when I pulled it out of the box there were a few watch batteries connected in series to a push button switch on the power line. This must be for in-store demos or something. Anyway, I plugged in the wall wart to an extension cord and was able to feed it through the tree to the top.I like the star and for the size and price it was a good fit for a smaller 5 foot tree. I also like that the mount for this star was green to match the tree.PROS:- Nice appearance on top of the tree- Pattern not too fast or flashy- Low Voltage LED bulbs should last forever- The mount for this unit is green like the treeCONS:- None**See Photos**

Works like a champ

The media could not be loaded.  Our tree has the kind of top spire that is stiff enough to hold a star rather than being a top branch tip that droops with any sort of weight added to it, so the star stands up straight with no issues. I routed the wiring within the branches, so it goes down the center of the tree and isn’t seen. I had to use a small extension cord to go from the tucked away plug in the tree to the wall outlet. Interestingly, the little box where the AC adapter goes also has a two-prong input for a usb adapter, so you could power the star over USB if you wanted to jazz up an area near an always-on computer. The star is beautiful, though. It reminds my husband of the tree-topping star from his childhood Christmases that slowly twinkled different colors. This star has a nice, relaxed, fading twinkle effect that really looks nice.

I don't know why, but when it arrived and I put it up to the tree, it was just too small and too plain. I was expecting something with a little WOW, at almost $70, I was looking for more. I have sent it back, that cost me $20, so lesson learned. I will only buy items that are shipped from Canada. For some reason the Snowman from Las Vegas, I received a $20 credit for paying for the shipping, for this one, nothing.The seller was quick to respond when I contacted them about shipping as I could not track the order. It was all about the product.
