Review: Controlled servos exactly as specified - Used this to work servo motors on a 3d printed project. It worked quite well, so I have no complaints.
Review: it's cheap and it works with a pi - it wont fit under any retail/included rpi case, so you'll have to cut it in. it worked reliably, snapped right onto the gpio bus and passed all pins. i used it to drive that 2 servo motor tripod im sure you've seen on desertcart. Worked fine for me. You'll need to install the adafuit pwm stuff.

## Features

- Servo Motor Driver: You may have tried to control a robotic arm or a hexapod walker by using the Raspberry Pi, but finally get frustrated due to the limited number of PWM outputs and the jittering servo. Now you get a new option to bring your ideas to life, we prepare this useful Servo Driver Board for you
- I2C controlled, using only 2 pins; Up to 16-Channel servo/PWM outputs, 12-bit resolution for each channel (4096 scales); Integrates 5V regulator, up to 3A output current, can be powered from battery through VIN terminal
- Raspberry Pi connectivity, compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 3B+ 3B 2B+ 2B Zero/Zero W/Zero WH and Jetson Nano
- Reminder: (1)If you only connect 5V power supply to USB interface, servo cannot be driven; (2)You should connect higher power supply for higher-power servo; (3)Make sure servo are connected properly, otherwise they will not move
- Note: The Raspberry Pi and Servo in the photo are not included

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I power this via wall power while it is hooked up to my jetson nano?**
A: Hi, you need not to power it. It is installed on jetson nano. You could power jetson nano.

**Q: I removed the 0r resistor as recommended and now my board doesn’t work, even if i power it externally via the vin. fixes?**
A: What was the resolution of this? I want to remove the resistor to externally power the servos but dont want to break the board.

**Q: Is there a power supply for the HAT that works from a wall outlet?**
A: The User Manual is listed under the documentation URL posted: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/Servo_Driver_HAT
It says what the VIN DC power supply voltage range is. 6-12VDC

**Q: Schematic says pi's 5v, servo 5v, and regulator 5v all connected together. servos draw power from pi! regulator 5v out and pi 5v contend! is this ok?**
A: When I run my raspi 3 from a standard usb I often get a low voltage warning. To make up for this I spliced a usb cable onto a buck converter that steps down a higher voltage source to about 6V (I started the converter at 5V and slowly cranked it up until the low voltage message disappeared). With this I have run 4 servos with this board at once, however the usb touchscreen I use with the pi tends to go out.
