This is a really nice barometer. I’m really impressed with the finish and overall quality. I especially like the now rare “Made in England” plaque proudly fixed to the back of the unit. The barometer was very easy to setup using the BBC weather regional pressure value on their website. A gentle tap on the glass as is the norm for aneroid barometers and so far it’s been spot on. The temperature and hygrometer are also a nice touch. This is a quality instrument and even though it’s expensive, you get what you pay for. Very pleased with my purchase.

Only comment if any is that the face could be bolder or more distinctive in some way.

This is good barometer well made and looks great on the wall and good accuracy.

Arrived a day earlier than ordered and left on doorstep in plain sight...unacceptable. Looks brilliant and barometer & thermoniter seem to work OK, but hydrometer is 30%+ low Reading 42% Actual 78% Have set up by front door where my other one is and will leave for 24 hours to see what happens before I return it

I bought this for my 12 year old grandson for his birthday as he was fascinated reading my own Barometer. It arrived very packaged, my grandson and the whole family now check the weather daily as they exit the house.

Bought this one as a birthday gift for my husband. He loves it. He said it's quality.

I need to keep track of relative humidity and temperature in my music room. These two scales on this instrument are accurate enough out of the box for this application. The barometer scale needs to be set up. This is done with a flathead screwdriver and the weather report software on a smartphone. Just adjust the reading to match the nearest reporting station by turning the adjustment screw a tiny bit at a time. Tap the glass while adjusting as this type of barometer needs a little bit of tapping to get a good reading. The reading can be made when the indicator pointer no longer moves when tapped. For best results, the instrument should be placed in a stand rather than mounted to a wall. It will function adequately if mounted to a wall, but it is better to remove the foam padding at the back of the instrument in order to improve air circulation and give better r.h. and temperature readings. If you leave the foam on the r.h. will be inaccurate due to moisture content of the wall material.the only access to the atmosphere by the sensors in the instrument are though the mounting hole in the back, so don’t block the hole. The mounting hole on the instrument is recessed, so any mounting screw you install in the wall needs to be long. Make sure it is anchored well into the wall or the weight of the instrument could pull the screw loose and the barometer could crash to the floor, which may well ruin it. Use a small enough diameter screw or long hook so that the mounting hole stays open to the atmosphere. I am pleased to find the pressure and temperature in S.I. units (hPa—the same as millibars— and Celsius ). The instrument itself is beautifully made and looks great on the wall.

A gorgeous looking barometer! An old school one. No need any batteries. Just works! I calibrated it to the nearest, adjusted to my phone barometer readings and set it to calculated sea level pressure at my location. it works, but of course you need to tap it gently to get the accurate reading. Temperature and humidity also work great and precise enough. I have multiple other digital hygrometers in my home. They all, this barometer including, show different results but not that far away one from another. As I feel it, humidity is more precisely measured by the Tabic barometer. Temperature is accurate and the same as my other hygrometers. Pressure I have only on my phone, and measurements are also not that far away. I prefer the Tabic barometer because I can come few times a day, tap it, and see if the pressure trend conveniently. And the feel of actual physical device and trend meter just great.

It didn't work. I sent it back and have not hear anything on replacing it or my money.

Really solid, well built barometer made in England, so yes, it is in metric scale. I did need to calibrate it to my local weather station when I received it, but once set and hung up on my wall, it's been dead-on accurate everytime I've checked. Haven't really bothered with the temperature and humidity inside my house, but the sub-dials do look cool. High quality item. I liked it so much I bought the matching tide clock to go with it.
