Great teaching tool for kids who love Daniel Tiger
Know people are going think this is kind of meh. But this book honestly helped us explain to our toddler how shots and doctor's would go when she finally started realizing where we were going for things. We talked with her extensively about shots and why she needs them and why even though sometimes it hurts to go to a doctor its very important so you can get help if you need it and get protection from illnesses(the pain usually experienced). After that she wanted to be a "big girl" and last time we took her for shots she did excellent. Not even a tear from her eyes when she had to get her shots for that time. Really like the Daniel Tiger series as it deals with real world issues and presents them in a way adults can build off of and use to show how things aren't as bad as a child might perceive at first.

Good version of the episode
Great condensed version of the episode of the show. It still has all the major parts. This book makes going to the doctor more approachable for little ones.

Good Intentions
I bought this book to read with my two year old to prepare for his 2-year doctor appointment. We read it a few times for the two weeks leading up to his appointment. He loves the book because he has seen Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood a few times and recognizes "Meow Meow" Daniel. The TV show and books teach children how to be kind, caring, but strong individuals. I can't said it eased his fear because the doctor's appointment did not go well, but I think that's more attributed to my son's personality. The book discussed the different things the doctor will do, all while reassuring the reader that the doctor has good intentions! The vocabulary and "tone" match that of the TV show, so if you like the tv show format, this jives with it.

Does NOT include shots
I wish the product description would list which Daniel Tiger TV episode each book is an adaptation of. This book corresponds with Season 1 episode 2, and NOT season 1, episode 18. There are no shots in this book. So, if you're hoping to prep your toddler for getting a vaccine, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Great book to teach about the doctor
This book is well loved by our 18 month old. It has been a favorite for the last two months. We probably read it 7-10 times a day. We have had to put packing tape on the cover and some of the pages already to stop it from ripping but that’s ok.

Happy niece!
My neice has been on a big Daniel tiger kick and asked me specifically for a Daniel tiger book! She also happens to love anything related to doctors so I figured this would be perfect! I walked in the door and she immediately asked me what I got her and when she found out she was thrilled! Made me read it to her right away! It's very cute, adorable short story and the pictures are colorful and bright! This is a paperback but my niece is WONDERFUL with her books! Very happy with this purchase!

Educational for kids and their adults
Daniel Tiger is my 18 mo grand daughter's favorite. She is only allowed 30 min of TV a day and Daniel is her choice. The books are great so we can read and talk about the characters after the TV show. The lessons are based on Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood. Not only do they teach children, but also adults. It teaches adults how to talk to children in a respectful and understanding way. We used this book with her new Doctor's kit. We even took it to her most recent checkup so we could distract her while waiting and while in the exam room.
