Well worth the price, buying another one for home.
The strong spring clamp allows it to fit on any music stand fine, except folding ones (i.e., not for stands that have no full back) Light spread was good, and it also doesn't spill light - in other words, I could walk all around the sanctuary and not see the light Also nice that it has two level of illumination. Works fine on batteries or the transformer. The transformer has a pilot light which changes color when the light is on. Unexpected feature. One reviewer mentioned that the gooseneck was not fixed at the right rotation. Mine was this way, too. All this means is that to easily orient the light itself centered over the stand, I had to put the clip about six inches or so to the right of center. This was actually an advantage; the top-centers of the music were not resting away from the stand on the clip (where they could cast shadows across the music, depending on light positioning, or make it hard to flip pages).I did go ahead and buy a second one for home. The cord between the power supply and the light was bad. All I asked for from SumDirect was a replacement cord. They drop-shipped me (from China) two complete power supplies with cords, both of which worked. So...good service, too. Again, I would not hesitate to recommend this light or buy another one.

Plenty of light and flexibility.
At it's best, this lamp is wonderful. I work as a music director in a dimly lit church sanctuary. This is saving my eyes and the music. I did have a problem with one that was not working properly, but Amazon shot a new one out in the mail the day that I requested an exchange and I had it replaced in 1 or 2 days. I have had some difficulty with the light dimming, but now believe that is due to using rechargable batteries in the units. Using it with the adapter seems to insure a steady bright lighting, and one of the units works well on the batteries. Still trying to figure out what batteries might provide reliable light. The padded clamp seems to be friendly to the gloss finish music rack on the grand piano and still stays in place well. The craning neck is very flexible and also stays where put.

As listed.
The lite as different settings. I expected the brighest to be brighter. It works well on my music stand. The wall plug says me money. The batteries last for a full day.

Same as top amazon model at 1/2 price
It would be 5 star but my transformer was DOA. Luckily a regular cell phone charger seems to work fine as I had an extra laying around. The light is great! The clamp is heavy duty and does a great job lighting my entire music stand with no hot spots or dark areas. This seems identical to the top rated model on amazon but this one is half the price. I didn't bother with batteries as I expect to have power where ever I set up. The light has two brightness levels.

much better than the 6 bulb light I previously tried
I use this light on a Handbell notebook stand (the bottom part of the notebook folds back to form it's own stand). It illuminates both pages of the music well, much better than the 6 bulb light I previously tried. It is heftier that the 6 bulb light, but not to heavy for stand. I really like the heftiness of the neck of this light, it looks like it will stand up to years of use. Originally our Handbell choir used a two bulb light which left lots of dark spots on the page. This light is much, much better.

Happy with my purchase
I clip this light to my piano so I can see the music better. The light has a bright setting and a dim setting which are nice options based on the time of day I'm practicing. The neck is flexible and adjustable to the size of the book I'm using. I also grab this light away from the piano and use it when I'm knitting and it provides a great amount of light for that as well. Very versatile and I'm glad I bought it.

Very solid and adaptable light but know that you're not getting a blinding light
Notes:* Clamp is very firm; this sucker isn't going anywhere* Light output is pretty average. It's a low-profile light not an eye-shredder. It's enough to read by for sure.* Maximum light spread is about 2' by 2'PS: I hope my review was useful in making a buying decision. If it was not, then please let me know what I left out that you’d want to know. I always aim to improve.-- free sample received for review

This is bright and lights up the whole music book
I love this, very bright, and lights up the entire music book evenly. Battery life sucks, but I use the 110volt adapter. I have a heavy duty solid stand like they use in school, not a flimsy fold up stand, so getting it to clip on is easy.

Disappointing
I am disappointed by this light on two counts:1. It isn't as bright as I had hoped. Even on the brighter of the two settings, I need it quite near my work to get useful task lighting2. The flexible neck does not hold the weight of the head well.So the effect is that I cannot place the light as far from my work as I would wish and it is hard to arrange it into a precise position and get it to stay.Other aspects - I expected it to be plasticy and cheap in feel and that's what it is. The power cable and plug are good and I do like that the cable can plug into any USB power bank too. This light is okay - not bad but not particularly good.

Disappointed!
Sorry! I wasn't satisfied at all. Batteries lasted about three weeks - perhaps a different type of battery would have lasted longer. There are two settings. The second setting was so dim I couldn't have used it at all. To insert batteries you have to remove a tiny screw.Disappointed 😟

Nicely engineered, robust light that provides plenty of light where you need it!
This product will be perfect for so many things. I use mine in my workshop on my lathe for machining metal. It clips onto anything easily, its lights are bright and illuminate what you are doing well, and the flexible arm means you can position it to direct light just where you want it.The product seems to be well made and robust.I liked it so much I bought another one for my pillar drill !!

Does not last more than an hour on three batteries, not effective
The lamp only lasts about one hour on three AAA batteries. I keep replacing the batteries but the lamp never lasts more than one hour. Or, it's possible that it's defective. I'm going to return the product. The quality seems very poor if it lasts only one hour or even less on the batteries. The goose neck seems quite flimsy too and the product can't be easily attached to surfaces. I would it keep it if not the problem with how much energy it takes and exhausts all my batteries!

Not a firm enough grip
This light is OK in terms of brightness but its grip on the music stand is simply not firm enough. I'm not sure if its the spring or the material on the grip but I found that if disturbed at all it simply flopped over. I tried putting some cardboard between the grip and the stand but it was still "floppy".
