Holy Spirit Here and Now

Once again Rev Trevor Hudson has taken a complex subject and simplified it. The Holy Spirit here and now is a book that draws the reader into an intimate relationship with God and God's people. I enjoy how Trevor uses real life stories including his personal deep moments in his journey of faith to illustrate his understanding of the Holy Spirit. This is one of the most uplifting books that I recommend for anyone who seeks to be touched by God's presence here and now. When I read this book I was left thinking our God continues to breathe life into us and as a result we can then draw others into that same abundance of life. Most books about the Holy Spirit tend to commercialize God as if people need to be enticed to enter into a relationship with God. It is no wonder then often we think of what we can do with God instead of thinking of what we can do together with God. Trevor has instead portrayed God as a caring and a concerned God and so are we supposed to be as God's children and Jesus' disciples.Shalom,

Trevor is well known for his honest, gentle writing style that instructs with personal examples that inspire. With each chapter, I was encouraged to seek, trust, and delight myself more in the helper Jesus left for me:The Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth. My relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is deepened by the truths I was drawn to in this Kindle edition.

This book is a good resource for study and small group. I have also found each chapter to be a great resource for a sermon within itself. Each chapter is very preach-able. On a personal note, as a pastor I found this book to be a good reminder of some things that are easy to forget. Reading it was a refreshing review of some basics of faith, and a great reminder of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Easy to read, and thought provoking. This would be great for a small group study.

Very practical and helpful. HS is not a vapour which may or may not be present as the wind blows, HS is real and Trevor Hudson brings this home beautifully.

This easy-to-read book brings to a practical level the intimacy, love, support and power of the Holy Spirit. Filled with examples, illustrations and guidance, and love, this book was for me a gift.
