Why did you pick this product vs others?: Exactly what I needed to replace the old cracking, splitting original. Quick shipping and a perfect fit. The plastic feels decently thick and flexible. I guess I'll see how durable it is over the years.

Replacement part did not come with instructions but not too difficult to replace although wife did not want any part in trying lol. I "fixed" the original part using grey duct tape after it started getting rips and that worked but over time the tape was getting loose so I found the part for less than $10 shipped on Amazon. I used a small screwdriver to lift the ends of the hose off by prying it off. Maybe this can be done by hand but I did try and it was not easy to detach. I also found that by extending the vacuum as you would normally do to vacuum to lengthen the hose was helpful to get to the ends of the original hose. I used my hands to attach the new hose by prying it on slowly. I recommend this part/product if you are not into duct tape lol.

This was a OEM Dyson component that fit perfectly on my ancient 'Ball' model.

Well built and looks of good quality material as compared to the original one removed from vacuum. Very easy to be fit into place. Will buy again if needed without hesitations as it’s worth the money. Very pleased on making my old vacuum look and work as new again.

Perfect fit for my Dyson DC 25

The Dyson website didn't have this part, and when I called to speak with them, they seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. I didn't even know what to call it. Turns out, I was calling it exactly what it's called in this Amazon description. "I need a hose that connects to the lower duct." That's what I told the Dyson person. "no, no. It connects the intake to the canister. Is it called in intake duct maybe? Why don't you just read off all of the parts that are available for the DC25?" It took me almost a whole minute to find the part here on Amazon. Just kidding. It wasn't even close to a minute, but I did spend about 10 minutes trying to figure out if it was the right one. It was so easy, I was afraid to submit my order. It was even easier to install once the package came. And my vacuum cleaner works again. My guess is that it will work perfectly all the way up until the point where my cat Lucky eats the lower duct hose again.
