Easy to Install, Easy to Use.
These are some of my favorite fittings. They work as good or better than those "shark bite" fittings. No leaks after a year. My RV also came with several of these installed, presumably they've been there for 10+ years, and those aren't leaking either. It works great for redirecting water too, I have this hooked up to a water-heater, that I wanted the ability to completely shut off on both ends.

good product
Regarding, "Flair-It 16910 Plastic 3 Way Valve, 0.5," it worked okay with thin wall clear 1/2" PVC, but did add a couple layers of electrical tape to ensure a good compression fit.

PERFECT FOR RV WINTERIZING AS BYPASS VALVE
This product is perfect for installing a bypass to winterize your rv plumbing system. Be sure to install it on the fresh water holding tank side of the water pump and make sure the selector lever directs the desired flow correctly. The first photo shows the selector lever in the normal position for the fresh water holding tank and the second photo shows the lever positioned to select the length of tubing that goes in the antifreeze jug when winterizing. The pump sucks antifreeze into the system. The nipples on the valve seemed a tad bit to large to fit my rv flex plumbing pipes, so I took off one star. I used a heat gun (hair dryer would also work) to soften the ends of the pipe enough to be able to force them over the nipples.

Perfect Pipes
This was exactly what I needed and it works great. I wanted to add a line for RV winterizing on the inlet side of water pump and this was a permanent fix rather than taking the inlet line off and on from its awkward position. Depending on how one's pipes run, the handle may be facing away from you and regardless care needs to be taken that you orient the valve so that you know which pair of lines come into play when handle turned. I bought a spare but doubt if I will ever need or use it.

Worked great to create a water tank bypass on my RV
I wanted to create a bypass on my water tank so I could more easily winterize my RV- this worked great for that. You need to pay attention to what is open in what position for it to work (I believe you need to install it backwards for what I did); but otherwise, it worked great at a reasonable cost.

Does not completely seal when valve is turned
Does not completely seal when valve is turned to bypass which can be a critical defect!(not an issue in my own application)
