Comes with no directions because stated on the package is that they want to “save the planet so no directions are included.” They are “available” Monday-Friday only. I was going to ship the equipment back because it was so sorry but the shipment back cost the same as the purchase price because they use a PO Box so you can’t return it by any service other than the Postal Service. The shipping store told me that bad companies use a PO Box only so it can’t be sent by anything other than Postal Service. My return shipping was 197 and the purchase price was 199. Truly, save yourself a headache and do not purchase this junk. yourself a headache and do not purchase this. Mine will be in the dumpster by evening.

works well with my Genie , no instructions included , just copied my stationary dish. Need to be exact with the alignment .

No instructions at all as others have said but it was fairly easy to set up. Entered the coordinates off our current set up at home for our trial run and with a little tweaking, got it working. Now we are in another state in our RV and got it up and running in less than 15 minutes.

I purchased this product to have Directv satellite connection to my DVR unit in my travel trailer. In short, once assembled and connected to the satellite the product works as advertised. That said, I think I'm reasonably qualified to assemble a product like this and to get it connected and working but it took me the better part of the day to get everything working satisfactorily. I almost called to have a Directv tech do the setup but I was determined to do it myself. This is why I give the product an overall 3 rating. (Lots of trial and error and troubleshooting to get everything working properly.) Ugh!I purchased the AT&T Directv 21 volt power inserter, a must for SWM. You will also need a DIRECTV ASL-1 SWM ODU splitter. I also purchased the Electronix Express digital satellite finder which worked as advertised but really isn't needed simply because you can acquire the right satellite info for your location via Directv in 'satellite setup' on your TV screen. Also, I used an iPhone app called Satellite Finder which worked perfectly in aligning the dish to the satellite. Once I used the iPhone app, I fine-tuned the satellite to the Directv satellite setup feature which provides signal strength and beeping tones (turn the tv volume up as loud as it goes) I could hear from outside my RV when making the final adjustments to the dish.As for the quality of the product, the tripod is a bit flimsy as mentioned in other reviews. A small level comes with the unit that fits in the end of the main dish support pole. I threw the level away because it doesn't fit snugly and pops out of position when rotating the dish. Just use a small level before mounting the dish to ensure the tripod is level. As mentioned, sufficient directions don't come with the tripod. You pretty much have to go through trial and error to assemble correctly, or at least I finally felt had the unit assembled correctly. The supplier should provide detailed instructions including instructions for connecting the satellite to your Directv DVR unit. Sorry, I have no info on connecting to other satellite services. You can get helpful info on youtube and conducting a Google search. You just need to take your time and be patient when assembling/connecting.In hindsight, I probably didn't need to order a SWM unit. I suspect a standard Directv Dish would have worked fine, and most likely been smaller. The size of the dish and tripod unit was bigger than I expected. I should have paid more attention to the size of the unit when researching. As it works out, I pretty much have to disassemble the entire unit to store in the cargo hold of my travel trailer. I may try placing the unit fully assembled on a rug on the floor between the slides of my travel trailer to avoid having to disassemble/reassemble each time I use it.

I was going to use it for camping but there a no assembly instructions.I will not recommend this product to other campers, I will discourage purchasing this product from your company.

Works fine with DIRECTV

This doesn't work unless you have your DirectTv receiver with you not just the genie. We bought it thinking we could use it with our camper but we couldn't. And we couldn't return it without paying shipping to send it back of $80.

Used this for a setup at home away from the house and once setup it worked perfectly. Would have rated a 5 star but no instructions were provided and the website that offered instructions to be downloaded was not available. You tube videos got me through the setup
