Just what I needed
My ceiling fan had stopped working properly, no speed control. Did some internet trouble shooting and found this could be the cause. Took my fan apart to confirm the size, found this one to match. Package arrived in good order. Installation was easy, I have some electrical experience. Fan is now working correctly when selecting different speeds This is a low cost option to replacing the entire ceiling fan.

Slow fan issue so replaced capacitor and remote control kit.
Worked like a champ for a 20 year old fan. She liked the fan and we could not find a similar replacement. The fan was real slow on the high speed so I replaced the capacitor and the remote control kit. Now there is a click sound coming from the fan when ever a button is pressed on the remote control. I assume it comes from the capacitor. I actually prefer the click because I know the button press was registered. Press the button, hear the click, know button press was received. After replacing the capacitor and remote control kit, I discovered the manual setting may NOT have been on high which may explain the original issue. So be sure to verify the fan is manually set to high before troubleshooting a slow fan issue. She wanted a new remote control anyways.

Don't wait. Order it now. Thank yourself when done.
My Hampton Bay ceiling fan gave up its ghost a few years ago. It's mounted in the garage, so I neglected fixing it. Well, a new motorcycle in the garage had me spend so much more time in that cave. Finally it was time to replace the old worn and swollen capacitor pack with this replacement. Sure, wiring colors changed slightly, but it's super easy to match the capacitor's microfarad values (4uf, 5uf, 6uf) to the new wires. Just do one wire at a time, cut the old, tie it to the new wire of the right value. (remember to unplug THEN commence work. Then plug back in when done.) My fan was at first quite hesitant on firing back up, as its electric motor hasn't turned on for quite some time and needing a little remembering of its electro-magnetism. Took a few seconds, and it slowly went rotating toward top speed. There, that was all it took. Now I'm happy. You will be too, if this is all that's needed.

Wish we knew about this years ago. Would have saved so much money.
I looked up how to install on U-Tube. Super easy, does not require removing blades or fan from ceiling. We never knew there is a quick disconnect allowing you to just detach the light fixture with a few screws. A few snips and clamps, and reinstall! Literally less than 15 min. job. My high dollar fan is working great again.
