Easy to setup and easy to use
We needed a keyless solution for an outdoor gate and shed, that was simple and could handle the elements.I looked all over the place for a simple lock that does not require a key and is reliable. At first I was trying to find one that worked with my phone, but it became clear is none of the available offerings were ready for prime time. They were either too slow or flat out failed to work. So I will give that a few years.Next I looked at ones that either had a combination or finger print. I liked the idea of finger print as my kids will use this as much as anyone and it just works better for them. Out of all the ones I looked at, this seems simple, could handle the elements, and had a decent price so that if it did fail it would not be a big waste. Before we got these in, we got an email from the company with easy instructions with pictures on how to set this up. It really looked simple.Once we got it in, we were easily and quickly able to add all four of us on to both locks. We tested them out and even tested deleting and re-adding. All of which took less than 10 minutes for both locks. Before putting them in place, I went ahead and charged them up with the included usb cable. We installed one on an outdoor shed and the other on a gate in the back yard, that backs up to a greenbelt ad regional trail. The idea on the back gate was that we would lock it from the inside, when home. When we wanted to go enjoy the greenbelt we could lock it on the outside, while we were gone. In practice this has worked very well.We have been using these for about a month and so far they have done really well. Occasionally I will have to put my finger on the reader more than once, but generally it is because I don't get it on there very well. We have had a lot of rain and these have continued to work. The one on the gate is out in the open.So quite happy, so far. It will either continue to be the lock for us or smart versions will replace it, once they get smart enough.

I wanna love it but it's just OK!
I tried one of the round clone/knockoff fingerprint padlocks and I almost had to have it cut off my locker. That was returned in a heartbeat. I am blind so I really wanted the fingerprint lock to simplify things. I decided to give this RoMech (Another clone of something ?) a try. The lock is less complicated without the need for bluetooth or an app. I found the programming a breeze once I figured it out. Draw yourself a flow chart if you have to. There is a little rub your tummy while patting your head sort of action. The lock is substantial enough for a gym locker or such but not for serious security. The reliability of this lock is pretty good, probably about 95% successful openings. The lock is pretty good and is at the correct price point. Keep your expectations realistic and you will be satisfied. Don't expect $150 performance for $35.

Wet fingers cause issue
This lock works well and as others have described. I use this on my locker at the gym and I have notice that right after washing my hands or after showering, even after drying my hands, the lock will not recognize my finger print. If I wait a couple of mins or rub/warm up my finger tip, it will work. It probably has to do with the change is skin temp or sight finger "pruning" from being wet. Not that big of a deal, just something you need to be aware of.EDIT: after a couple of.month of use, I returned to my locker after a workout to discover someone had vandalized the touch pad so that the lock would not work. I belive it was someone being an a-hole, not someone trying to break in. I had to cut the lock off my locker. Be aware of this potential issue.

A product whose time has not yet come...
I was reviewing various kinds of locks for a project at work. A fingerprint lock fit my requirements quite well. I purchased the RoMech to test. Results are as follows:- the instructions were sparse, but once you grasp the process, setup is straight forward.- the reader was very inconsistent - the lock would open only about 1 time out of 10. Not sure exactly why, but the fingerprint reader window as very small.Customer service was excellent. I communicated my issues to the seller, who was not able to make an exchange as that item was out of stock, and so I took a refund. A large part of my rating was based on the customer service - the device is not yet ready for prime time.

Do not purchase.
Good idea, poor execution. I purchased this lock to avoid having to carry around a key at the gym, or to memorize ANOTHER numerical combination that I would have to write down or forget. Setting up my finger print could have been easier with better directions, but at the end of the day it only took about ten minutes. Use was easy enough applying the lock, but to unlock the lock generally required about 2-5 attempts. I did not mind having to repeatedly apply my finger print because it was still easier than carrying a key or memorizing ANOTHER combination. And then the lock fell out of my gym bag, about three feet, onto the carpet covered ground. Something inside the lock is now not functioning properly and I have to time my physical force to unlock the lock while I apply my finger print 2-5 times. I look like I'm trying to break into the locker, which I guess I am trying to break into MY locker. Not the best perception to have amongst others. For the price, not worth it. Good idea, but no sturdiness what so ever. Cannot handle a small drop? Forget about it. You could purchase 10 traditional locks and a pair of the "JAWS of LIFE" to cut off all those traditional locks for the price of one of these.

Doesn’t seem too secure. Metal look is quite thin. Easy to program. Too easy to reprogram.
Super easy to program. Once it’s set it’s a bit too easy to reprogram & I have to be careful when opening it not to keep my thumb on the reader too long. The metal hook is a thinner than a master lock which makes me nervous about someone forcing the lock open. To be fair I haven’t tried, but I think I could get past this lock without too much effort. I belong to a nice gym and it’s definitely enough to deter people.
