Excellent read about a Canadian Icon.
Wonderful book about a Canadian (and Quebec in particular) wrestling legend. Great for any old school wrestling fan. Loved it!

Every dog has its day
I finished reading Mad Dog: The Maurice Vachon Story this morning. I was so anxious to read this that I often wondered if authors Bertrand Hébert and Pat Laprade somehow pushed the release of the English translation ahead, just so I would stop asking them when their 2015 book, originally in French, would be available in English LOL. Mad Dog scared the life out of me as a child when I would see him on TV Saturday morning on the Canadian channel that we were fortunate enough to get. It was the early 70's, and still very real to me. I was so worried he would hurt my favorite wrestlers, like Eduard Carpentier and others. This book is an amazing look back at a man who had an equally amazing life. It is a retrospect from birth to death of a man who was one of the greatest Canadians villain and heroes, all at the same time. The stories are so well told that you can visualize them happing, as outrageous as some of them are! Thank you my friends for this gem!

So much more to the Mad Dog than the AWA.
What a great read. I grew up watching Mad Dog and thought I knew his past but there was so much more. The AWA was just a small part of the Mad Dog's story. But this now.
