Excellent value for money and reasonably easy to fit for a competent DIYer
Our 50FF boiler packed up at the weekend and the fault lights indicated a fan/aps failure. I normally consider the boiler off limits for DIY repairs as there is too much I don't understand. The heating engineer confirmed the fan failure and said he would get back to me with pricing but failed to do so. In searching for the part online I found several reviews/tutorials that indicated it wasn't too difficult to replace yourself. I reasoned that if I was unable to fit it then I could call another engineer and at least I already had the part ready. The price for this fan seems to vary considerably from different retailers - up to £200 so this looked like a bargain. It arrived with 24 hours and an hour after that I had it fitted and the house was warming up nicely again. It's a bit fiddly to fit, especially as some of the screws holding the old fan in place were rusted. The jubilee clips which attach the flue to the fan were also hard to remove and even harder to put back tightly. The fan is slightly higher than the old one but it just about fits into the cabinet. Since fitting, the boiler has been roaring away like a jet engine. The airflow seems dramatically better than the old fan even when it was working.I've now ordered a carbon monoxide detector as a precaution, though I should really have had one anyway.I can't comment on longevity as I've only had it for a few hours but it did the job for me and saved a small fortune so I'm very happy with both the product and the seller.

Works OK... so far!
This assembly came promptly and was reasonably easy to fit. (Ok I had reconditioned my old fan a couple of times so I knew all the tweaks and short cuts to getting the old one out - not easy at first). The unit looks well made. It was slightly taller than the orignal fan so it fits very snuggly and touches the top of the boiler casing, but it still works ok. So far, after about a year, (hopefully the exact purchase date is with this review) I've had no problems... I'm touching wood here as I type.

Good OEM substitute fan replacement
My original fan gave me 2 weeks notice of failure by sweaking occasionally when the unit was first activated, so I had this new unit to hand when the fan eventually failed. The unit is slightly higher than the original but fits adequately in the boiler. The fan unit creates a slight hum but nothing to get concerned about. The three screws that were removed from the original unit wouldn't easily screw into the base of the new fan but using an impact driver it solved this problem. Only 20mins to fit, cheap replacement, the initial unit lasted 14 years so hopefully this is going to be the only replacement part in the old boiler.

Perfect fit replacement
A local plumbing company asked £500 + VAT to teplace this one or £1200 for a new boiler.I had to DIY it, didn't I?Straight perfect fit replacement. Nice 1 hour job.

Great
It arrived on time. We had been with out heating so we were praying it worked and the price was good. We fitted it and was ok to do a bit fiddly if you have big hands. It worked and sounded much better than our old one. All good

excellant price, excellant condition and packaging.
Replaced fan in boiler and now boiler is running better than before. A lot quieter. Old fan kept stopping causing boiler to cut out. Great product, great price. Shop informed me £200 for the part.

Excellent delivery time
Really pleased with product, price and speed of delivery. My boiler stopped working - possible fault with fan. Tried to order from trade sites but wasn't successful. Tried Amazon and easily found fan I needed: ordered and expected a few days wait, but the new fan arrived 2 days after ordering - fitted same day and boiler back online.
