I don't understand all these people complaining abut how difficult it was to assemble... It took me about three hours at a very leisurely pace from start to finish, including coffee breaks etc. The biggest problem was my cat messing around with parts and packing material. Very well designed and made product, not a single problem with misplaced screw holes or anything like that. Everything fits together perfectly. It is also very well packed - albeit disposal of all that styrofoam and carton boxes was probably the most unpleasant part of the whole project. You don't even have to read the instructions as everything is in pictures ;)

I put this together for my fiancée and she loves it. We haven't had it for more than a week but she is really enjoying the desk and having dedicated space to do her work. The only drawback I would say is the time and effort for assembly. If you've assembled anything before, then you know the general churn of following the instructions and organizing the many parts. However, once you get the sequence for which screws go with which holes, assembly does get a little faster. But here are some specific things to look out for:- The package does require you to use glue for the wooden dowels. The good thing is that it comes included. The bad thing is that it's not enough for all the dowels you will need to glue. Maybe I missed it in the instructions, but don't use more than a dab for each one, else you will run out half way through assembly. I had to go to the store to get some Gorilla Glue for Wood to finish it. Disclaimer: The Gorilla Glue that I got was more liquid than the glue paste that came in the box. So, I kinda had to turn some parts upside down to work with gravity when gluing things together. Just keep that in mind if you decide to follow suit.- Make sure that you set aside hours to complete it, especially if you're assembling it by yourself. I didn't keep track of how long it took, but if I had to guess, it was probably 7 hours by myself over the span of two nights (Well, my fiancée helped toward the end with the drawers and the heavy glass top). Now, I know you're probably thinking, "You're just really slow at this." Trust me, I would be thinking the same thing. I did take a good amount of breaks. However, putting this together still took a bit longer than I had expected, especially with gluing all the many dowels in place.- Follow the instructions carefully. Sometimes, it's easy to accidentally skip over a step or not see that there are identical pieces that need to follow the same set of instructions. That's what happened to me. It's human error, I know. But just pay close attention to the instructions, especially when you're adjusting the hinges for the cabinet door.- It says that you need a rubber mallet. You don't need a rubber mallet. When I put the dowels in the holes, I just lightly tapped on it with my hammer. Honestly, it felt like nothing was happening, but I think this just made sure that the dowel made contact with the glue.I think that's it. Overall, I would say that it's a really great desk, especially for a woman since the handles are on the feminine side. And if you ever need to move it, I anticipate that it should be easy to unscrew the glass from the top of the desk and then transport the two pieces separately. Hopefully this review helps!

Putting the desk together was simply a nightmare. I had to hire two people to have the desk properly assembled and took them almost three hours to do that. It came with hundreds of little parts and screws and identifying all parts was painful. My honest recommendation is that please do not buy the desk unless you want to go through this harrowing, unpleasant and distressing experience.Once the desk was assembled, it looked just like the image here at amazon.com. It is a beautiful desk!

I don’t regret buying this desk. The quality and look is just great. It is pretty heavy at around 150lbs. I hired someone to assemble it for me but I ended up helping him the entire time because assembly does require two people. I dust my room once a week and dust still finds its way onto the glass surface of the desk. It’s pretty easy to wipe the dust off though. I simply use a swiffer duster twice a week to keep the glass looking shiny.

Bought 2 of these for home office. First one took about an hour to assemble, 2nd one about 30 minutes. Some gluing required, glue included, but is only about 50% of the glue you will need (need some Elmer’s wood glue additional). Desks are nice looking, very functional, sturdy.

Beautiful heavy duty desk. It takes a couple hours to assemble alone. The glass Top is what really pops from the whole look. Desk has large, deep storage in each cabinets. The quality and look is just great. It is pretty desk. And I am happy with this purchase.

The desk is beautiful and meets our needs. Need patience & two persons to assemble. It is worth the effort.
