Family Meals (St Michael Cookery Library)

I have purchased several of this collection to replace originals which have been lost. Great recipes covering a wide variety dishes - Soups, Vegetables, Salads, Fish, Meat, Hot Puddings, Cold Puddings, Suppers & High Teas and finally Cakes. Obviously the presentation is dated given the age of this publication but for me the nostalgia of the recipes makes it well worth a place in my recipe book collection. I purchased a book which was listed as "Used - Very Good" from Electric Chicken and they were true to their word - very minimal signs of age i.e. slight yellowing on the edges of the pages but other than that it was more like new than used. Very happy and I have gone on to purchase additional titles from the seller.

I ordered this book as I had a copy for a wedding present nearly 40 tears ago. I particularly wanted the muesli bar recipe to make for my grandchildren during lockdown. The other recipes look very dated now and not very appetising! But the muesli bars are still delicious!

I bought this book to replace the original, which I’ve had for nearly forty years, and was torn and covered in stains. Great easy to follow recipes.

I bought the complete series from Marks and Sparks during the 70's but some got water damaged and I am trying to replace them all. An excellent series of books.

Arrived on time and in excellent condition.I am so happy because my old book was falling apart with loose pages. This is identical. I am very grateful it's a really useful basic cookbook, with excellent reliable family meals. Does Just what it says on the cover. I am so glad that I could replace it!

Used book but delivered in very good condition. After one recipe in particular - chocolate fruit bars, made with Muesli. Great, just as we remembered them.

Excellent book. My wife had one from years ago but had become very tatty. I was surprised that I could still get a copy and although mine was a used book, to all intents and purpose it was like new. Very happy.
