Clutch strap is off the hook!
I first purchased a Peak design product when I was looking for a camera strap for my Nikon d750. I really thought their quick release anchor system was innovative and practical. I also picked up the leash and thought it was neat, however I did not use it as much, not because of design, it just didn't seem practical for me because it was attached to my wrist. It's still a decent product for a quick and inexpensive safety solution. So when it came to the clutch, I overlooked it and did not consider it because of my experience with the leash. It wasn't until I saw my partner and his clutch strap attached to his d810 . I got to try it out and saw how practical and effective it was. I immediately got hooked and ordered mine the next day. Since I have the Peak system incorporated into my shooting equipment, it was a no brainer to get the clutch. The clutch system is very practical and useful but most of all, it's comfortable and not restraining. The clutch strap is a handy tool to secure your grip especially with a heavy camera and lens, it's not intrusive and easy to bypass if you wish not to use it on your grip, it reduces heavy camera fatigue but most of all you feel very secure holding your camera. I sometimes feel like a wild west gunslinger with the strap, quick on the draw and easy to slip in and out of this thing, unlike the leash which was kind of restraining. Now I can understand the clutch's value and its cost, I would highly recommend the Peak Design Clutch to anyone with either a big or small camera. I just recently purchased an arca swiss style ball head for my tripod and I have my D750 equipped with both a Peak camera strap and clutch strap which attach perfectly onto the Peak Design plate which sit perfectly onto my new arca style ball head and everything works fantastically! Again couldn't be happier, keep up the good work Peak Design!

Very versatile clutch
Great strap for your camera. The strap is very easy to tighten when putting on, and perhaps even more importantly it is equally easy to loosen the strap when putting the camera into your bag. Big plus for having the Arca Swiss base integrated into the mount making the clutch more versatile. The feel of the strap is very nice, one of my best friends is a pro photographer and he was very impressed with the feel, maybe I will get him one for Christmas. One of the best things about Peak Design is the way that all of the straps utilize the same quick attachment system, which makes switching between straps, or clutches very quick and practical. If you already use their neck strap or sling, and you're looking for a clutch, this is a no brainer. One of my gripes about the product is that on the top of the clutch, the strap passes through the camera's loop without using one of the Peak Design quick release tabs. This means that for me, going from clutch to wrist strap is not very practical because removing the clutch would probably be a bit slow. Also, the build quality seems solid, except for the tiny piece of metal that bends to hook and release the top of the clutch. I have included an image to highlight this, and you can see that that small pin looks a little questionable.Overall, I would highly recommend this clutch and if you already use Peak Design products then you will get even more bang for your buck here.

... cameras aren't for everyone but this one is REALLY nice. I was able to take it out for ...
I know that side-straps for cameras aren't for everyone but this one is REALLY nice. I was able to take it out for a spin today and it did everything I was hoping. The quick adjustment on it is perfect and I found that I wasn't having any difficulties with reaching all the controls. My previous experience with a side-strap was on an old Canon 35mm film camera. I found it useful on that camera but it was horrible if someone else wanted to borrow the camera and you had different sized hands. This eliminates that particular problem but I did find something of an issue that is unique to DSLRs - The strap is sort of in the way of the SD card port door. All you have to do is loosen the strap to get to the door properly but it just wasn't something I was thinking about when I purchased this. It's not a detractor... just throwing it out there so no one else is surprised. This is being used on a Canon Full-Frame DSLR with a battery grip. Currently I am not using the arca-swiss plate connector that came with the strap, I am just using the Peak Design anchor with the cameras existing strap mount points.

Peak design Clutch hand grip is not suitable for mirrorless cameras.
Firstly it is not suitable for Mirrorless Cameras. My Camera is Fujifilm XT2.

Great piece of kit so far.
I've only been using this a few days, so I'll do a more detailed update in a couple of months when it's had some hammer. My first impressions though are that it's very high quality as you'd expect from Peak Design. It's easy to fit and it's a nice alternative for me to buying a bigger grip for my Fujifilm XE3 camera (which would add weight).Whilst it will obviously add grammes to the weight of the whole set up, its not noticeable in real world use. It's got quick adjustment with one hand. Love that. It feels super strong. I reckon I could swing from it and it wouldn't break. Not that I'm gonna try. I've been looking for a hand strap like this for years. The inside of the strap is a comfy and pleasant feeling padded fake suede type fabric. Very comfy to use. The test of its longevity will remain to be seen. The only issue I have with it so far is that you have to remove the base plate to access the battery from the camera. That's a design fault in the camera as Fuji have set the tripod screw mount off centre for some odd reason. The Clutch strap is designed to fit all sorts of camera bodies so I can't blame Peak Design for that issue. Hence five stars so far. Well done Peak Design.
