3D as it should be
A totally winning combination. Great film, lovingly re-rendered in 3D with superb high definition and totally immersive surround sound soundtrack. My favourite 3D so far, depths are clear and deep, which actually helps emphasise the background jokes, pop out 3d pops right out to tickle your glasses. Detail is fantastic, makes you want to reach out and straighten scully's hair, oh and to me the film is even funnier than it was 10 years ago.Clearly a lot of love and care has gone into this release, and it shows in very frame. It's like an old friend has lost two stone and taken up weight training. If you need a film to show off your system then this is it, also handy to keep the kids quiet and if you need a giggle on a Sunday afternoon. Brilliant!

Class all the way
This is one for the whole family. Leave all the technical stuff at the door because this has a great story. Don't go counting how many of Sully's hairs move at any one time. As soon as you do...... Here's one story you'll enjoy, no matter what age you are. That's why DIsney made movies and cartoons in the first place. It's how Pixar do things now. The best thing is, you never grow tired of this. It's great every time you watch.

Monsters Inc. 3D Blu-Ray + Blu-Ray (UK version)
Received my 3D Blu-Ray copy of Monsters Inc. today. It comes in a nice 3D slipcover which was a pleasant surprise. I won't say much about the movie itself: it's brilliant. One of the best 3D movies I've seen so far. Also the new 7.1 sound is terrific! Toy Story Toons: Partysaurus Rex and For the Birds are also present in 3D and look amazing. A must own for 3D and 7.1 sound lovers! Highly recommended. But for the edition itself? The reason for my one star deduction! Reading about the US version I feel we've been let down... again! The US version comes with the 3D + 2D version AND the bonus Blu-Ray Disc, next to a DVD and a Digital Copy. It has (new) extra's and even the sound of the standard 2D Blu-Ray has been upgraded to 7.1. NOT on the UK version. It is exactly the same as the 2009 2D Blu-Ray (if you disregard the new sneak peeks for Monsters University, Aladdin and Mulan). So I have to keep both the 2009 & 2013 edition of the Monsters Inc. Blu-Rays to have most of the available extra's ... but the US version still has more! Another missed opportunity.

SIMPLY FANTASTIC
The description of the storyline makes this look to be a good film so I bought it as a Christmas Present for someone who collects films on DVD - Blu-Ray & 3D formats.

3d upgrade is worth it
I am coming late to 3d - just as it is going out but finding great deals in players, tv, and wonderful 3d movies like this one. Both Monsters are favorites of mine and the upgrade to 3d is amazing.

MONSTERS INC
Great depth and colours but the story is poor and the 3d effects are nowhere as near as good as some films .O verall given the chance to decide to purchase this knowing what i do now i would not

Fabulous!
Probably one of the best animation films ever and in 3D it is really captivating. I'm sure we'll be watching this one again. Shame that the follow-up prequel 'Monsters University' isn't as good as this one.

Excellent movie, international version
"Monsters Inc." is a perennial favorite in our home and we enjoyed watching it in 3D. The only thing that bugged my daughter, who grew up with that as her favorite movie, is that in the international version there are some very minor differences where some signs have had wording replaced with symbols (Stalk/Don't Stalk, Scare/Don't Scare, etc.). The scene with the doors is quite amazing in 3D.

A GOOD IF NOT PERFECT 3D RECONSTRUCTION OF A PREVIOUSLY 2D FILM
The new 3d titles are quite good. The 3d reconstruction works quite well. Not as good as the Finding Nemo job but good.

Stick with 2d version of this movie
I enjoy 3d movies, particularly, especially animated funny ones. This one was a disappointment. Although it is digitally remastered, the 2d dvd version is clearer and lacks the artifacts and ghosting present on this disc. I took the 2d dvd version and allowed my Oppo 203 do a 3D conversion and got a great result in comparison.
