Am I the only one who likes that they are low-cut? Not that I would mind if they were 1/2 inch higher, but I strongly disagree with the guy who said 2 inches higher. If you want grandma pants, other people make them.The farthest I have swam freestyle non-stop until yesterday was 600 yards. Today I tried these shorts and went 3100 yards with no rest and with 123 flip turns. They helped a lot.My waist is 31 inches (not my pants size as many people seem to be going by. Use a tape measure!!!) and size medium is tight, but I don't think I would want a size large. If your waist is more than 31.5 inches then you probably need a larger or larger.

I purchased these shirts to help me with a swim test I needed to pass. I’m a decent swimmer, but these shorts helped me yread water for more than 20 minutes without a problem. They almost help me float without effort. They fit under my shorts, so they can’t even be seen. They are a bit tight at first and low at the waist, but that was makes these concealable. Awesome!

Good buoyancy boost to those with sinking legs. I’m almost 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, a medium size fits perfectly. I am a cyclist/runner so I don’t exactly have thin legs, I find the legs to be very snug and a little difficult to put on. What I do is flip the shorts inside-out and put my feet through the leg holes (like in the picture) and then pull the shorts up by holding onto the waistband. The shorts will effectively unroll onto my legs and waist height will be perfect. No need to tug hard on the neoprene and risk a puncture or tear. The fit from this is always spot on and never have to worry about a “low waistline”.The buoyancy provided by the shorts is great for helping work on technique from breathing to the catch and pull. Care and maintenance is also fairly easy. Highly recommend!!!

These swim trunks were my first neoprene shorts and they are really excellent. Pretty easy to get into and after my swim I just peel out of them before washing them so convenient on both ends. The trunks effortlessly lift my hips and legs and actually noticing that has given me things to work on in my freestyle stroke. They are comfortable and allow for a good range of motion. When I use them, I can relax about trying to keep my hips and legs high in the water (I have regular shorts to practice those skills) and concentrate on my arm movements, which has greatly improved my stroke. I don't know if your sports equipment should make you look forward to doing laps or training, but these trunks have done just that for me. I've used them exclusively for a chlorinated pool (washed afterwards every time) and they've been super. I would be happy to buy another pair whenever I work these trunks into the ground (or water). I did have to buy one size larger than usual but doing that has given me a very good fitting pair of shorts.

These have the perfect amount of flotation to supplement my swim training. Helps get my hips a boost and still lets me practice my natural stroke. The sit low on the hips, but nice and snug without being overly tight. Gotta be gentle putting them on, as fingernails can easily put a gouge in them. The one issue I have is that their is zero room for the twig and berries. When I say zero, I mean zero. After a swim I pull these off and the little guy takes a few seconds to get un-smashed. I would love to see a little extra material in the crotch to make room for at least an average fella.

The core short offer exceptional buoyancy and flexible range of motion to the legs much like the full body Blueseventy Helix does for the whole body. I am size small-medium with a waist size of 31-32. The medium would have probably fit me tight but considering my muscular thighs, I opted for size large and it fit me perfect. If you have track cyclist's legs as oppose to a runner's legs (long and slim) you may want to order a size up. I used this for lap swimming at the pool once or twice a week. It works like a pull buoy but better because you can still flutter kick. I'd recommend rising the wetsuit with wetsuit shampoo every use or the chlorine will short-live the shorts. Also, keep away from extreme heat or direct sunlight when not in use.

I ordered a size up but it wasn’t enough. I am usually a small and went up a size to medium. They were so tight and hard to get in. Also left me with a butt crack! It was a no go! They are cut so low... I am a 39 hips and medium was way small. Sent them back and I won’t be reordering. The cut is way off. It is not for people who are curvy!

If you are training for an triathlon and you need to improve your swimming (and who doesn't), these shorts are great. They provide some buoyancy to help get your legs up, do a good job of simulating swimming in a wet suit, and enable you to work those arms longer without worrying so much about the kick.My only issue is that they seem to run small. I have a 34" waist but purchased the XL based on advice from Blueseventy. Glad I did. I am sure I could not get into a L.But other than the sizing--I don't know what you do if you are larger than me--these shorts are great for training.

Excellent got them for my other half who does a lot of swimming he's very impressed feels they aid his swimming greatly and has improved it over all he's is taking on a 10k swim this weekend and has helped greatly in his training for it. I tried them myself once or twice and they buoyency you achieve is amazing. Better thank swimming with a pull-buoy He'd to get XL on size even thought he'd wear only a 33 in jeans - spend the time measuring yourself up.
