I have an F250 Super Duty. I'm giving this an overall 5-star rating since EVERYBODY has complimented me on them...even my mother-in-law! The instructions though are a little difficult for the average person, but if you take it slow and have the correct tools you'll get through them easy enough. I actually deviated from the instructions with the lights (put them on the inside of the linkages vice the outside--good thing too as the wiring harness was not long enough for the outside mounting positions). Earned mega-cool points from my 12-year-old as he assisted me during installation--yes, it's about that easy for the most part. While the plug-and-play connector is super easy, I prefer to be plugged directly into a power line...just for future OBD-II reading. The extra 3 inches (for the super duty) is an awesome design--thank you! The step position is perfect! One thing to note, don't forget to add this weight to your vehicle's overall weight if you're worried about hitting your max tow weight.

Only issue and I assume this is a constant issue because not only my truck but my buddys truck did the same thing.The rear doors are so close/running on the adaptor rail for the XL series. We had to get a crow bar on both trucks and bend them down to get to just clear. We tried every option when installing to get it to hang lower but it’s like rear mounting bracket is a tad to short which cause it to run against door.A there a fix for this other than the crowbar method?

Purchased these running boards because my wife and I had trouble getting in my F250 with the factory boards. These XL boards are GREAT! At least 3 inches closer to the ground.

Just installed it took about 5 hrs to complete. They look and work great. I recommend to anyone needing a lower step get a set.

You’ll need an extra set of hands to install these steps, my 10 year old boy helped me. Not the easiest project but definitely worth it.
