What you have here is a wired doorbell intercom, which is as presented a pretty standard product, it has one end that goes on the door and the other in a room somewhere. It works fine. I found the button a bit confusing, we have a ring doorbell and it's hard enough for couriers to figure out where to press, on this one the button is just a rectangular shape.The main downsides to this system is both the lack of portability and the installation effort. You can buy a wireless doorbell that you can take into the garden. If you need the intercom you can buy a doorbell that has video intercom. Granted this works out cheaper but once you have installed it, is it still cheaper?It can be extended to extra units and obviously other systems don't allow you to unlock the door which again you can buy this but you're into professional installation territory at that point.I don't know. I think it's ok. It does overcome some of the issues with the newer internet or wireless doorbells because it's wired but it feels quite old fashioned.

I was really excited about this door bell. My house doesn't have a bell and I've always wanted to get one. Saw this and thought it was what I needed.I am a little disappointed. I knew it wasn't wireless but when it came I couldn't install it. I had t realised it has a facility to unlock a main door and I couldn't use it for my door. The doorbell sadly wasn't what I could use. I bought a cheap wireless one from wilkinson. Sorry

Having only two wires this was easy to fit. The slimline units look neat and tidy and you can adjust the volume and have a choice of ringtones. We have a side door entrance and I feel safer knowing that I can ask who is there before going to answer the door. This can be connected to a door opener but as yet I do not have one of these. The sound is loud and clear both ways and I now do not have to answer the door unnecessarily to salesman and the like.

Easy to fit - yes. Easy to set up - yes. Looks good... no, well, not as good as others in the same market and price range. Loads of audio options, easy to personalise. If you are looking for something which is functional go for it, but if you're looking for something that looks good, move on.
