101 Nights of Grrreat Romance: Secret Sealed Seductions for Fun-Loving Couples Paperback – January 1, 1996

I bought this for a friend's sexy bridal shower, after having bought it for myself and my hubby. The book has 101 sealed "secrets" which are perforated and you tear out of the book. The secrets are divided by "his" and "hers," and the outside of the sealed secret has symbols to tell you the amount of money it takes to set up the date, whether you have to travel, whether there is food involved, and whether there's an online counterpart to the date card. Inside, each date card explains how to set up the date, provides a kiss coupon, and a little discussion about how to make the relationship work.PROS:+ Loved the secret nature of the game! It's fun just to pick the secrets and really adds to the anticipation of each event.+ The book has lasted a long time for us. We found that doing two secrets (a His and Hers) each week was getting really expensive and almost too much date-stuff. Now, we just use them when we want a fun new idea, and have found that it's a great tool to plan special occasions or provide spice during a dry spell.+ I'd say most of the date suggestions were really good ones, they vary a lot between simple dates to more romantic getaways. I also liked how the man-dates and woman-dates were different, the woman dates tending to include more romantic gestures like flowers, love letters, etc and the man-dates including more activities or relaxation days.+ You can customize each secret and the book often provides suggestions to help you modify the secret to fit you and your partner.CONS:- The accompanying website does not always work (especially with Macs).NEUTRAL:* We love "cheesy" date stuff (like heart-shaped hot tubs and the like), and lots of the stuff in the book suggests cheesy date stuff. If you don't really like writing love letters or candlelight dinners, you might find that some of the date cards don't appeal to you.* The book also has a lot of sexual content, which is something to consider when giving it as a gift to someone else. There is a moderate amount of "how to" in the cards and coupons for various types of affectionate acts, for example, "Quickie" coupons.

I got this book for my husband as a Valentine's Day present, not because I thought our romance needed work, but because I thought it would be fun and introduce us to some new ideas. It *has* been a lot of fun, but after the first couple of weeks we switched to doing the romances every other week because 1) even the "inexpensive" ones were turning out more expensive than we thought they would be, and 2) pulling an envelope on Sunday and performing the romance by Saturday just wasn't enough time in a lot of cases! So now we switch off - I'll do one one week, and he'll do one the next week, and we pull our envelopes two weeks in advance to give us plenty of time to plan.Most of the romances have been LOTS of fun, and very romantic, but so far the "kiss of the week"s have been sortof dumb, and the "passion coupon"s just haven't been manageable.Don't let those things stop you from buying the book, though! The ideas for the romances are FANTASTIC, even if they frequently need a little (or a lot) of adapting to make them fit in your lifestyle - they at least give you a starting point to work with!*DO* pay attention to the expense, though. So far we've wound up paying at least $10 - $25 MORE for each romance than she predicts. If you're on a tight budget, this might just make you even more stressed. If you're on a budget, I still recommend buying the book, and then pulling ALL of the envelopes in advance so you get a reasonable idea of what they cost, and maybe some ideas for reducing the cost.

This book as been fun and has gotten me out of my comfort zone

My hubby and I have been married for 7 years, and we are doing well but we want to make sure we keep nourishing our relationship. This book is fun! We basically follow the instructions, altering some things to be less expensive. There are a few ideas that we haven't thought were a good fit for us, but we have just done them anyway and it has been fun (and pushed us a little out of our comfort zone). We have a tight budget, but we have prioritized date spending over other things (like cable TV, actually) and we have been super happy with it.Oh...this was written in the 90's, and it would be cool if they updated it, but it's no big deal.

It's ok

This was better than the 100 nights of Great Sex. I believe as a person who is adventurous, it keeps that passion alive through creativity. However, I would say this integrates the emotional and physical. I even took some ideas of the conversation piece or a gifting idea and can apply to my children. Just good overall. Found the other to cross some moral boundaries I have established, so I preferred this one better.

If you buy this, be prepared that it's a disposable book. You have to open the perforated pages to read them and do them. It may be great but it will take time to go through it, and cost as you do.

My husband and I love these ... they are very unique, thought provoking, and best of all, it really walks you and your partner through on how to make a great night.A must for marriages, for the ones that need help and even those that don't!!

As a first time Amazon user....I was very impressed....no pages were missing, which was my biggest concern. I was also impressed at how easy it was to use.

It should have been listed that it was missing key pages-especially the instructions to the woman and a couple of the exercises. I would not have purchased it, if I had known. Very deceiving.
