Wise brand chilli-mac is one of the best dehydrated meals I have ever eaten while backpacking.I am usually starving at the end of the day and look forward to eating a slightly larger helping of dinner but Wise’s 2 serving chilli-mac fills me up pretty quick and I usually give the second serving away (what a shame!)It taste great, has never given me a tummy ache, and is very filling after a long day of packing- the perfect dinner. It’s also packed with protein!Thanks, Wise!

I had to try this product after having been given as a gift a wholly unpalatable survival food package by a Utah company. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the preparation only required adding water to the existing package and zipping it shut for 20 minutes. No mess, no fuss, just great flavor. The taste is fine. I had a few crunchy noodles even after stirring well and waiting the max time. The part that was the most shocking was the bowel rumbling gas that hit 2 hrs later. If I was staying in a tent with my family I would have killed them. I smelled like a yeti that fell into an outhouse outside of an indian restaurant. I wish this was an exaggeration!!

I hunt in the high country and need good nutrition to stay in shape during the hunts and this fills the bill. Used these foods for years. light weight and nutritious. I still lose 5% of my body weight during these yearly hunts (go from about 200 to 190 pounds) but this lightweight food helps me carry more calories into the field.

This stuff is actually pretty darn tasty!

These are light weight, easy to pack and I think taste the best out of all the companies. I even tested them out on my husband and 2 friends and they agreed. They are very picky. Highly recommend.

We ordered these for a camping trip, along with some other meals to try different brands. This meal was ok. When you’re cold and hungry I GAURANTEE that you’ll eat it! The flavor was a bit bland so we added some salt, pepper and hot sauce. We followed the cooking instructions exactly and some parts of the meal didn’t re-hydrate. There were hard pieces inside. The design of the bag makes it so that some powder inside is tough to get out of the nooks and crannies and made for some unfavorable bites. We compared these to Mountain House and Mountain House meals were far superior. The overall taste, of mountain house, was better and design of the bag was far superior. There was nowhere for any parts to hide from rehydration. Also Mountain House has you stir the contents again after 4 minutes which, clearly made rehydration much better. I don’t think I’ll be buying Wise meals again.
