HP Laserjet Pro M15w Wireless Laser Printer (W2G51A) (Renewed)

Bought this because we needed a printer for our home office. The fact that it is compact is perfect for our small office. Took 5mins to set up WiFi printing, super easy and no frills. It prints black and white, which satisfy our needs for day to day documents printing. Nothing fancy but it works! Even though it is refurbished, I couldn’t tell at all, it’s clean, and it feels new. Came in a box that’s well secured and packed with foams etc. I’m thrilled with this purchase!

I bought this because I don't print a lot but wanted to have a printer when I needed it so I went laser instead of inkjet because they seem to do better with light use. The tiny footprint of this thing is kind of amazing. Setup was a bit of a pain but once I got it on my wifi network all my devices including phones found it and now I can print to it wirelessly from any device which is great. Got it as a refurb for $90 which is a great deal.

I had a massive all in one inkjet printer that after years of minimal use had issues with the printer head. To replace it, we wanted something more reasonable in size and we didn't want an all in one unit, we just needed a printer. This little printer was the perfect solution, and the refurbished unit we received has worked great so far. Setting it up on our wireless network was super easy and we have been able to print from our phones and laptops without any issue.

The other reviews aren't kidding: set up takes hours. That's because the instructions are wrong or absent. HP will send you to download applications that don't work and give you no other options. If you keep digging, get through a few YouTube tutorials, etc, you'll eventually find one of a dozen different troubleshooting strategies that will work for you. For me, I had to push my WPS button on my router to get the thing to connect. Who knew... But the printer is amazing. It's tiny (smaller than a shoebox), fast, and seems very polite (?). The printing isn't 10/10 - some bits get crushed or warped here and there, but it's not a huge deal. I love the printer now that the set up is done...

Connect printer to usb for starters Print test page ===================== Using Iphone process: Download/install "Hp smart print app" Start hp smart printer install Printer M15w shows in the wifi settings Click and join by entering pin 12345678 Printer wifi led will blink However process was not successful at this point. =================================== So, started a windows 10 install: Check your wifi settings for M15w printer Click on wifi for M15w printer Enter key info 12345678 Open web browser and enter url 192.168.223.1 Should take you to HP internal URL webpage for M15w ...Note it may say computer at risk. ignore and continue Goto the wifi settings webpage Select the normal 2.4ghz wifi network Enter your network password Printer wifi led will be solid on. This means printer is on the network. ============================ In windows 10 goto add a printer Select wifi direct printers for search When printer is found a page will print with the 8 digit printer key to activate printer Use the key that is on the printout to activate. Wifi Printer is now visible to W10. =============================== Go back to Iphone and HP printer app Printer should now be visible to the IPhone. Printer works fine from Iphone without signing into HP. Signing into HP is optional =========================== Printer now works on network via Iphone or Win10. Just some tips to get started. A real chore to say the least but worked for me. ========================== Note press printer resume/cancel key for few seconds to get printout of network settings for reference.

This printer only worked the first two times I used it. It won't respond to a local USB printer cable not will it connect by wifi. It's a complete brick and a waste of money. I've spent far too much time and frustration trying to troubleshoot it.

This is a great little printer! I haven't had any issues with paper jamming. For those people who said they couldn't get it installed, you need to go to the HP website (listed in the paperwork that came with the printer) to download the drivers and install the printer. I, too, got an error message when I first just tried to install it through Windows 10. Go to the HP site and it will be a breeze. Mine works fine.

The product works great. Unfortunately if the paper misfeeds you may have to partially disassemble the printer to access a piece of torn paper. To me, that’s a poor design.
