Michelin Map France: Loire Valley 517 (Maps/Regional (Michelin)) (English and French Edition) Map – Folded Map, January 1, 2007

This is a very useful map that is essential for planning a trip to Loire Valley with good scale and illustrations.

Michelin maps are excellent, but one needs to be able to see the map before purchasing it. I will never again buy another map over the internet as only one of four maps that I bought actually covered the area where I was traveling.

Great map but it does not cover the whole river valley. I'm going to Amboise, east of Tours. It's not on the map.

Need this and 518 to do the whole Loire valley. Excellent maps

This map covers to just a bit east of Tours. Many castles and chateaus are not included on the map. Much of the Loire Valley is not on this map.

I ordered this map as we were driving from Paris to the chateaux of the Loire valley two weeks ago. This is the only choice that comes up when you search for Loire valley Michelin road maps on amazon. Unfortunately, none of the area surrounding the towns of amboise and tours, where all the castles are located, is included on this map! I unfortunately did not discover this until my family and I were on the road in our rental car . So it is completely unused.

What the picture doesn't really show you is the area covered well enough. Tours is on the right hand bottom edge of the map, and you will find if you want to follow the Loire east of Tours they you're going to need another map. You also run out of map fairly swiftly to the south of Tours too.Good news, it stretches West from Tours and Le Mans virtually to the coast. It's got all the new roads on it, which is a bonus... the super duper A28 wasn't on our old map from 2003!Also we managed not to get lost at all using this, whereas the sat nav Brits we met, all wound up in the wrong village.

Michelin maps are still setting the standard. Although our car has a very up to date satnav nothing beats planning a day or even a holiday by browsing a physical map. Great detail in this one and big help planning our holidays to visit the sites in Normandy.

I bought this for my forthcoming trip to the Loire Valley. It is extremely detailed showing most of the roads etc in the area. French maps are never as good as British ones for details but this is very good.

on the way to the Dover ferry terminal our sat nav died so we relied all our holiday on road maps! this was used daily for our excursions and had plenty of detail to take us off the beaten track - as is our want on holiday! - to give us wonderful viiews of the area and not get us lost!

The usual Michelin high-quality map.However, I thought that the paper should have been of better quality; the map will disintegrate after it has been used just a little.
