Put it in as soon as I received and it fired up the Farmall H immediately.

Starter stayed engaged at first. Had to sum starter out. Company than sent correct gear. Still working good

Starter did not work on Farmall M
First starter they sent started the engine but ground on the ring gear once started, replacement starter did the same. I found the starter drive gear protruded 6 mm deeper into the housing so gear teeth were slightly engaged without excitation. Oil fitting was also oriented in the wrong direction - pointed down when assembled on the engine. Appearance of the starter was good but appears to be assembled with the wrong starter drive. I returned #2 for a refund and had my original Delco one rebuilt (including a new armature) for $4 less at a local shop. I called DB Sales but they seemed un interested in the problem.

Got the starter today. Your help must have forgot the lubrication fitting in the endcap. Hard to get good help. Not happy.

A great product bolted right up and no problems
A great product bolted right up and no problems. This is the second part I got from this seller and I have been very happy with what I have purchased. If I need another starter for something I am definitely checking this seller first. A great product at a great price

Stay away from this one...
Had same problem reported by Thomas only multiplied by 3 times. Round stop nut at the end of the shaft spun off/stripped threads causing the gear to spin off of the splines. This happened on 3 different starters! The only good thing was that DB sent me new ones that arrived next day (they have a warehouse in the state I live in). Like Thomas, I replaced the drive on the 3rd one so I could get on with using my tractor. Seems they have a bad batch of these and I can't recommend anyone buy one.
