Most useful and effective gadget
I use it everyday to slice onions. Also to make paper thin potato chips. Yesterday I sliced capsicum. It's very sharp so one has to be very careful. This is my go to tool in the kitchen

Slices sweet potatoes
This is the only mandolin I have found that slices sweet potatoes. I slice them very thin to make sweet potato chips in the microwave. I have the OXO which works for many things and is easy to adjust and also the Börner that is made in Germany, also a very good mandolin. The last two could not handle a sweet potato. This is a very sharp mandolin so use with great caution, I feel it is much sharper than my other mandolins, I also like that the blades can be replaced when the blade gets dull.

Great but could be better with rubber footer/feet.
I love this thing. It’s small, easy to use. No big clunky attachments, just a few blade choices. Downsides, no rubber at the foot to keep it from slipping around and I was disappointed that carrots stained it right away. Potatoes cut easy peasy but carrots were also almost too hard, so I opted to just cut them by hand but had already stained the mandolin. I didn’t mind the smaller screws, though I tighten it the adjustment one and use a rubber band to keep the plank over the cutting edge when storing to prevent accidental cuts. People complain about the guard but after ruining the one on my pampered chef mandolin (my first one that wasn’t a box shredder) and thus learning to use one without the hand guard, I’ve just kept doing it that way.

The only brand of Mandoline I will buy
I've used this brand in both professional kitchens and at home. Although more expensive than some alternative options, this mandoline lasts longer than the others and can take a serious beating without falling apart. We have some at the restaurant that have lasted years. Easy to adjust cutting thickness, additional blades are easy to install and the mandoline itself is easy to grip during use. Blade comes very sharp and remains very sharp even after months of use so don't try your luck.. use a rag to protect your fingers once you get down to the last bit of whatever you're slicing.

Spectacular!
This is my third mandoline, the MOST REASONABLY PRICED and totally the best. Sharp, easy to use and cuts potatoes paper thin!

Super sharp!
Incredibly sharp blade, way sharper than my old one which makes slicing up vegetables much easier and quicker. I like that the company sells replacement blades so if this one ever gets as dull as my last one I can just replace that instead of having to buy a whole new one
